This was an excellent location to revisit historic Tyler connections for my family and me. The walkable blocks of the Azalea Trail were just bursting with color. The quaint back porch needed the screens to be attached to keep our small dog from going out to explore. The fenced in back yard had plenty of places for a small dog to escape and explore, but we kept our little one on the leash.I had attempted to speak with Doug on cell phone before visiting, but did not receive a reply. We were glad all the instructions were in the helpful notebook.
I stayed here during the recent ice storm in January. It was close to my job. This place was so nice!! The mattress was a little too firm for my liking. But it was blessing to not drive in the ice. The house was clean. The shower pressure was great forceful. They had a snack and coffee area for the guests. I appreciated that. I will definitely stay here again
Everything about this property was great. Above and beyond my expectations

I never had to contact anyone. The place is as cute as it can be l think it could be cleaner I fund dirty dishes in dishwasher. I also left a day before because my stay was for 10 days but mattress are about 100 years old and my body couldn’t do it another night. Location is great.
We thought it was a cute property and fit our needs pretty well. Only suggestion would be to add a slip guard or alternative for the bathtubs as they were quite slick.
A charming older home, not the lap of luxury, but quite worth the price. The neighborhood is not great, but it was quiet. The house seemed clean and the beds comfortable. The furniture is quaint and pleasing. There are a few small improvements that could be made that I see in other reviews. We have family in Tyler and visit often, and would enjoy staying here again.
My college roommates and I stayed here for our first time living together in 20 years. The accommodations were great to reminisce and have new memories for our other roommate's wedding. We just wish the weather was better so we could have enjoyed the yard and porch.
The house was cute with a big yard. The master bed was uncomfortable. Adding a bed topper would help a lot as we didn’t sleep well. The street was very narrow with a lot of cars, but there is driveway parking which was great.
I always have expectations of places I stay, based on the listing. In thus case, my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. This is a charming place to stay, with comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. Very clean.
Overall a very good stay.
Some issues that need attention:
1:oil door hinges
2.clean ceiling vents
3.lighting in bathroom was poor, couldn’t see to put on makeup
4.really need a shelf in bathroom to hold toiletries
5. Living room lamps are dim, three way bulbs would be nice, it was hard to read
Your home was very nice and comfortable, I hope to stay again😊
House was only superficially cleaned. Floors and baseboards and all vents were gross. Mildew on walls and ceiling in bathroom. Bathroom shower does NOT put out more than 2 cups of water at a time barely trickling out of the showerhead, directly down with NO pressure. You have to physically get into the shower to turn it on and adjust the water, which I wouldn't complain about if you at least got a decent shower. That was the worst. The two beds were fine, but the pull out with trundle was awful, plastic crunchy mattress covers under pilled scratchy sheet and something that was not a bed covering. Pillows so old and dilapidated and stained I had to go buy some along with a blanket. Cobwebs throughout, huge battle with a roach in the bathroom. Spiders throughout. Steps to backyard are steep and dangerous having no railing on one side. Curtains not wide enough to cover front windows to block light. Just one thing on top of another. For the price it would have been okay if not for the shower situation and the gross air vents. AC was cold, fridge was clean, dishes clean. It's a cute place but not maintained for continual use and definitely no comfort features like pillows blankets, or can opener that works, sharp knife, or more than two rolls of one ply toilet paper.
