Wonderful Place

I’m they type that like to stay in the local areas when I travel. This place over exceeded my expectations by far. Very modern, spacious, clean just a down right beautiful home in the heart of Hopkins Village. Felt so homely and comfortable. Also the management staff Cedric was great. They made overly sure we had everything we needed. 10 out of 10 for me!!!

Beautiful Home W/ Logistical Nightmares

We stayed at Wagiya Flats from November 16-22. Last time we stayed in Bocawina, and we were looking forward to returning to stay in the sleepy town of Hopkins. Location- I love Hopkins! This house is located on the “resident” side. Be prepared to interact with the friendly locals. I recommend renting a golf cart if you visit the resort side. Accommodations: The house is beautiful, as pictured in the 3D Tour/photos. The AC was strong, and the showers were luxurious! Animals: Be aware that they keep a guard dog on the premises. Max is a friendly Rottweiler, but those with dog fears should avoid staying here. Arrival: While Vacasa advertises convenient lockboxes for checkout/arrival, Wagiya does not. We had to text the local contact to let them know we had arrived. It took about fifteen minutes for the rep to come to let us in. Oddly, the rep returned with an additional (non-Vacasa) contract. We were told that “everything was accounted for and inventoried .”I felt there was a general distrust( more of that during the checkout process). We only received the front door key and a gate remote. Unfortunately, there was a power outage, and we were stuck outside. We texted our local rep, and have yet to receive a response. We waited a bit and were forced to jump the iron fence. Be sure to ask for a padlock. Towels/Linen- We were provided with one towel and one beach towel for our six-night stay. The washer broke (it was never fixed), and we were never offered additional linen. Checkout: We received a call from the rep the night before checkout to inquire about our checkout time. The following day, the rep came over for a “walkthrough”, a 30-minute thorough inspection of everything in the house. I’ve moved out of apartments without a final walkthrough, so a walkthrough on a vacation rental seemed a bit invasive.
