The house was quite spacious for our party of 4 families. It was clean and convenient. We spent our time there hiking and exploring the area. In general it was a great choice for spending the long Labor Day weekend.
This is a beautiful, well-equipped house in a lovely woods. It snowed while we were there and it was like being in a winter wonderland. Our host was incredibly responsive, including getting the driveway plowed so we could get out on the snowy day. Thank you for everything.
Myself and my lifelong group of buddies plan an annual golf trip every spring. We landed on the Carbondale area this year. We were extremely impressed with everything about our stay at Casey's home. Its a spacious, beautiful home located in a very convenient area. Its minutes away from anything you might need, but its also secluded enough where you have privacy. Casey has excellent communication and we truly appreciate the hospitality.
We stayed here to visit our two sons who go to SIU. With a large family and the need to bring our dogs we were afraid it would be hard to find a place where we could all stay together under one roof and this was perfect! So close to campus and shopping but still quiet and private with plenty of room for all. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the home made our stay great! We hope to stay again soon!
Casey was so accommodating and responsive to all of our questions and requests! The attention to detail and how clean the property is was fantastic! We would definitely stay here with our family again.
We came for the River 2 River relay and the house was a great layout for our group. Bedrooms were spread out, each with a bathroom (no shower in master or guest bath ). Appreciated all the Keurig cups! Very pretty property on 18 acres. Perfect for a large group of adults. (8 of us). Very responsive hosts.
Wonderful house layout for our group of 11, including 2 active grandparents in their mid-late 80's. Storms left us without wifi the entire stay and power went out a couple times so we couldn't cook then (electric stove/oven), but thankfully it didn't last terribly long and was during the day so we were able to make do. Weather was hot and humid so we didn't spend as much time outdoors or in the screened-in porch, but we had a nice get away and time with extended family. Note that there is no "sofa sleeper/futon" - just a regular L-shaped couch for someone to sleep on (fine for our slender 18yr old, might be too saggy for someone taller/heavier). Casey (and Ashley) worked hard in keeping in touch and doing what they could to make our stay more enjoyable, really appreciate their efforts! Great open layout for groups, private baths for each bedroom was wonderful. As others have said, feels secluded but is so close to grocery stores/restaurants as needed.
We had a perfect time New Years Eve! We made last minute plans to rent the house and Casey made our reservation a breeze. The home is just as described online and wonderfully secluded with plenty of room for everyone. Casey was very easy to work with and refreshingly available if there were any questions. Great time and we will definitely use them again.
This place was absolutely amazing. Very spacious, clean, and isolated so it feels like you’re in the middle of the forest. Casey was very prompt to answer messages and very accommodating.
We used this property when my family visited Southern Illinois for the first time and they’re already asking to book for next year.
We stayed at Casey’s for our last lake weekend of the year to boat at Lake Kinkaid. The property was excellent. Extremely spacious and every bedroom had its own bathroom. There was plenty of parking, including for the boat trailer and the screened in porch and fire pit were excellent features. Casey was also very responsive with any questions. We will stay here again.
