Great cozy cabin. For a quiet getaway, you probably won’t find anything better than this place. Secluded and peaceful with everything you need but just minutes away from shopping, restaurants and plenty of stuff to do. Hot tub was fantastic as was everything else. Highly recommended. Thanks Scott!

We had a very enjoyable visit during our 3-night stay. We were highly satisfied with our choice of "On the Shawnee Wine Trail. The cabin was well furnished and very clean, well-stocked with plenty of towels and linens. We enjoyed the hot tub, which worked perfectly. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are visiting the area, if the cabin is available.

The cabin was very clean. Location was very remote, quiet and super relaxing. It was exactly what I was looking for. Plus it's right down the street from cedar lake's boat ramp. It's also on the wine trail, garden of the gods and all the other great sites to see in the Shawnee. It's about 20-30 min from SIU/Carbondale. I will definitely book this cabin again!! The owner was very responsive to my questions as well.

This trip was amazing. The cabin is totally secluded and on beautiful land. I literally could sit on the deck for days on end and watch the wildlife. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the layout was perfect. Walk in shower was enormous and now I need one at my house. The owner was very quick to respond to questions. We will definitely come back.

If you're coming for the shower, hot tub, and stereo system, you're in for a treat—they were easily the stars of the stay. The cabin itself was clean, which we appreciated.That said, the driveway deserves its own warning label. It's steep enough that one side is nearly impossible to get up without a 4x4. Use the Dutch Drive. Inside, the kitchen was short on pots and pans, the downstairs bed and pillows were insanely uncomfortable and had us racing home to our own bed. The living room furniture wasn't ideal for relaxing either. A full-size couch and/or a couple of reclining chairs would have made a big difference.Overall, we enjoyed the amenities and privacy of the cabin, but with a few upgrades to the furnishings and a heads-up about the driveway, this cabin could be a much better experience.
