About this property
Elden View Hideaway - quiet street, close to trails
Walk to the trails from this cozy guest suite tucked into a quiet neighborhood at the base of Mt. Elden. The Elden View Hideaway is thoughtfully appointed with everything you'll need for a quiet weekend away or as your home base for the adventure Northern Arizona provides. With decorating nods reminiscent of early 20th century exploration of the American Southwest, the Elden View Hideaway will inspire you to create a memorable vacation filled with adventure and fun.
The Elden View Hideaway is a separate unit with keypad entry on the ground floor of a private residence. There are no stairs in the apartment however there is one step into the kitchen from the front door. You first enter into the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable dining space. We keep the kitchen stocked with some essentials like coffee, tea, spices, oil, baking, cooking, and cleaning supplies.
Next is the bath and laundry room with a stand-up shower, full washer/dryer, and one sink. The bath and laundry room is equipped with laundry detergent, dryer sheets, body soap, hand soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, first aid kit, and plenty of towels for your use.
And then finally you enter into the joint bed and living room. The queen bed is made with sheets, pillow cases, and duvet cover that are fully laundered with each guest. The couch and seating area provides an intimate space to play games, read a book, or have conversation. Two closets provide ample room to hang clothes and store suitcases out of the way.
Some items to note about the space: The apartment is a daylight basement and has poor cell signal inside the unit because of it. There is no AC in the house, a fan is provided to bring in cool night air if desired. The unit shares the heating system with the rest of the house, a separate space heater is provided if a warmer temperature is desired.
My family and I live in the rest of the house which sits above the unit. Although the unit is separated from our main living areas, you may hear us from time to time. Similar to an apartment building. Please read the welcome binder when you arrive for some more tips and details to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Short term rental license number: 23520

This was a wonderful place for us to stay during our 3 night/4 day stay in Flagstaff. It was very comfortable and relaxing after a day of adventure around the Flagstaff area.

It was such a delight to be able and go see all the sites of Arizona and come back to such a pleasant place to stay every evening. The place was just as advertised and the most comfortable place to stay. We could not have had a better experience.
Chose this unit attached to the host's house for a few day stay in Flagstaff. It was clean, comfortable and also had the convenient amenities of a compact laundry and nearby shopping, food and gas for this traveler. Hosts were great and helpful.
Very quiet yet friendly neighborhood. We took walks and felt very safe walking the mountain trails near the house. We weren’t expecting the snow for Easter but it sure was pretty!
We stayed for 2 weeks to get out of the Phoenix heat. I was pleased to see the well equipped kitchen and other amenities. Even though the unit is attached to the family home it feels private. During our time we had one small issue with the wifi and it was quickly resolved. We would diffently stay there again.
Everything was very clean and it was a pleasure to spend time there. The floor plan is a little different but easily managed.Benefitted from the welcome book in ease of finding points of interest and restaurants.Owners were quick to react to questions and concerns.
Enjoyed our stay the Hideaway was a very cute cozy place. However my husband and I are from the valley and we enjoy the outdoors in flag. The only thing missing for us was a patio or a deck, where we could have our coffee in the morning and wine at night to enjoy the view of the mountains and pine trees
comfortable, clean, on a quiet street, hosts very accommodating, friendly. Trail system very close by. For me personally it was a little claustrophobic, also be aware that you're sharing a house space so family conversations, and some house activities will be audible especially in the evening
This is what I was needing! Loved the area and place! Nice and clean. Was able to do some laundry. Had everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and much needed after an all day trip to the Grand Canyon. House owners were very responsive and so sweet!
My four year old daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the Eldenview hideaway! The apartment is decorated very tastefully and was the perfect size for us. There is way too much closet space (if that’s possible!) for two people—one of the closets is huge! The bed was super comfy and the couch was really nice, too. The kitchen was well appointed and even provisioned with some basic staples for cooking and a few pre-packages meals (oatmeal, soups, and coffee). The bathroom sits between the kitchen and the bedroom, which I thought was odd but worked out just fine. I don’t have much to critique—it was a really nice place and we enjoyed our stay very much!
Shadow mountain is a clean, well located property. Comfortable, attractive and cozy. Owners long time Flagstaff residents and want you to enjoy your stay ❤️
