Very good

The cabin was well apportioned and had everything we needed for the week's stay. It was clean, quiet and just the right size for us.
There is a small grocery within walking distance and a bike trail literally 50 yards from the door of the cabin.
Otter Lake is central to many great rural communities in central Michigan.
We will definitely book this again
Reviews on this could go either way depending on what the person was looking for but it worked really well for what we needed. This is a smallish camp cabin with some upgrades but you should still think of this more like a camp cabin than like a home. I was a little worried that we might be cold since it was the first really cool night in the fall but we were surprisingly warm and it was apparent that the owner had taken care to make sure we wound be. There were even brand new blankets and one an electric blanket. There was great communication with the owner and staff and the owner seemed genuinely concerned with how our stay was and what changes could be made. Kids will love the loft area (ours did). Men will say: “If I was single I could live in a place like this” Moms may wonder if they should have gotten a full house instead. We slept 3 comfortably down stairs but cabin wide you could sleep more. The loft is a climb though for younger kids or older adults. The bathroom was pretty nice. The water temp and pressure were spotty when we were there but I mentioned it to the owner and he seemed to take it seriously. The kitchen could use an upgrade in major appliances and a good deep clean in areas but everything we used worked and We appreciated the Filtered water. Also we were there as fall started and this cabin may have been heavily used during the summer which could have been why some things needed some attention. If you like a bargain or are looking to camp without being in the elements this could work well for you. After talking to the owner I would not be surprised to this cabin improve with time. Also check out Procedure was very simple which is great when you’re ready to hit the road.
