It was a little weekend trip for our little kids birthday, we had family stay the weekend and do fun activities. The cabin was so nice and cozy; the view is amazing. We were in close range to everything we wanted to go do; and the nature around is pretty. One of the best places we have stayed at.

Robert, thank you so much for your kind review and for staying at Wild Valley Lodge. You were a pleasure to host and we’d welcome you back anytime!!
We had a great time during our stay. The house was easy to access from the main road in Lake Lure and the view from the deck was stunning.
Our group included 6 senior citizens (5 ladies and 1 gentleman) and the ladies stated that it was the cleanest house we had rented in the six years that we have taken a trip similar to this to the mountains.
Melissa (the Host) was always available to respond to a question or anything that needed to be clarified.
The driveway is steep and it can be challenging with someone with limited mobility. Our group had no problems accessing the property. Once inside we found the house to be very convenient and accommodated all of our needs.
We don’t know if we will return to Lake Lure next year but if we do, we will certainly reach out to Melissa to see if her house is available. Sadly we had to leave but everyone wished we had had more time to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.
Thank you, Melissa, for allowing us to enjoy your house and for your care and concern for those who stay there.

About the host
Hosted by Melissa
Our family has been visiting this area for years, and decided to take the plunge to buy our own place. My husband and I have 13 year old twin boys who love the area. We live in South Carolina on the coast full time, so this gives us a great range of environments to enjoy family time. We hope you can make some great memories here as we have!
Why they chose this property
This property has such a cozy, homey feel and we were instantly drawn to it. Once we stepped through the sliders onto the deck our jaws dropped at the unbelievable views from the back of our home. These are views most don't see so closely. Watch eagles soar, bird watch, explore the local flora and fauna. So much to do in nature! Yet so convenient to restaurants, shopping and all the fun activities of the mountains.
What makes this property unique
This property is spacious, yet cozy to allow groups of family or friends to gather, yet also have their own spaces to enjoy. The location cant be beat! So close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village and State Park, but also just 23 miles to Asheville and surrounding areas. Nearby you can river tube, golf, zip-line, gem mine, mini-golf and more! In the Winter, snow tubing is about 20 miles away. There are some ski mountains as well within 60 miles. Climbing is a huge Fall and Winter activity and our property is walking distance to Chimney Rock State Park's Rumbling Bald Access. There are no entrance fees here, a loop trail and access to a bouldering park and climbing. In the Fall enjoy your own private leaf show as the backyard is a huge valley filled with trees. Take a short to trip to Apple valley and pick pumpkins and apples.
