Why Paradise Mountain Cabin Rentals,LLC Susan Porche chose Lake Lure
We visited Lake Lure with friends 8 years ago and fell in love with the area. We would like to retire here one day!!
What makes this Cabin unique
We absolutely love the mountains and the view of the mountains from our backyard!! We built our cabin with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling picture windows for a panoramic view of the mountains.

Great cabin, but very remote...and we were locked out by the housekeeper
This cabin is beautiful and very well stocked...which was very conveinent for our large family. The owner contacted me by text right before arriving to tell us one of the showers wasn't working and that we would have to use a separate bathroom in the unfinished basement. The owner felt that since she was still providing the same number of bathrooms advertised, all was good. But, this was an inconvenience and the bathroom sink drain wasn't working for the entire stay.
When we arrived at the cabin, the code we were given to open the door did not work. I had just talked to the owner and thankfully had a decent cellular signal. So, I quickly called her back and she provided the correct code.
Our main issue with the cabin was that we had to take our own trash to the gate of the property, due to issues with bears. For the price of this property, this is unacceptable and wasn't advertised. Also, the property development is all gravel road and very remote. If you don't plan to leave the cabin, that's not a big deal. We left once per day, and it was not a quick or simple drive. Beautiful cabin and the owner was responsive.
Mountains never disappoint
We had an incredible stay and loved the remote location of the neighborhood but relatively short distance to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Village. The kids loved the neighborhood lake access, stream and waterfall areas. They kept asking to go back and play in the water.
Full disclosure we did have a couple issues that were handled promptly. So no complaints but I mention to let you know that the owners were quick to resolve an issue and that is so important when you are on vacation.
We visited lots of local attractions but if you are happy just staying in the neighborhood there was plenty of relaxing and adventure to be had right there.
We had a great time and are already talking about our next trip to the mountains.
Our family enjoyed the house especially the porch. It was a wonderful place to just enjoy each other. Thank you for opening up your home to us.
Loved working with Susan. The house is so homey! Kitchen well stocked, plenty of games, very comfortable beds, great common areas to fit the whole family. Internet was not great but that was a blessing in that we were able to spend more time together as a family.
We had a great time and the cabin was perfect. We had 5 adults and 5 kids. We had room for everyone. Grocery store was close and the lake was beautiful. View was as beautiful as the pictures. Thanks again!
Great house and neighborhood
We enjoyed our time in the house everyday. To our surprise, the neighborhood beach area was lots of fun for everyone in our group...and so picturesque. Even enjoyed visiting the Chimney Rock shops no too far away.
