“We loved our stay! The cabin was clean, solid, and tucked away off the main roads — nice and quiet for a peaceful getaway. Beautiful scenery all around and a great place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend!”
I was in the area for a bass tournament and traveling alone. This place was great for what I needed. It fit a truck and boat comfortably and was a few minutes from the launch. I would stay again!

Thanks so much for your awesome review! We’re really glad to hear the place worked out well for your tournament stay — sounds like it was the perfect setup with the easy parking and quick access to the launch. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and would love to host you again next time you’re in the area.
It was a great little cabin to stay for the two nights we were there. The only concern were the very loud neighbors at night when we wanted to have a fire outside. Ver hard to relax and enjoy the fire because of the neighbors.

Thank you so much for staying and for your thoughtful review! I’m glad you enjoyed the cabin and had a good stay overall. I’m sorry the neighbors made it harder to relax by the fire — that’s not typical, and I appreciate you mentioning it. Hopefully next time you’ll get to enjoy that peaceful firepit experience!
The second stay was just as enjoyable as the first one. The quintessential cabin in the woods, just like a cabin should be in my opinion, hence 5 stars. Clean, super quiet and dark at night for a good rest in a good bed. Perfect location (for me at least) area explorations. A great host, too, to boot. Will definitely be back.

Gert is fantastic and such a delight to host. Communicates well, respectful of the place, and left everything extra clean. Really enjoyed hosting you Gert and would love to have you stay with us again.
Fantastic little cabin - As advertised. The area is very quiet and peaceful and the property is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Hoping to book again in the future!

Hardly knew he stayed. Extra neat & clean. Hope to host again. Thank you for your stay.
Nice place in the beautiful Northwoods. More affordable and cleaner than the local hotel and with a lot more space. I stayed with two children and they both loved it.

Thank you for staying!! Come back and visit again soon!!
Daniel & guest were excellent renters!! Come back anytime. Very neat & clean. Left the place looking like they hadn’t even been there. Thank you for your business - come back soon :)
It had everything we needed. Loved the nice firm bed! And it had a good shower and good appliances.
There were just a few things that were cons for us. We thought the cabin was “secluded in the woods” and while the location was near everything we wanted to do with trees all around, it is right on the road, surrounded by other cabins/ homes. We could hear screaming and loud voices the first morning. The couch was extremely uncomfortable to sit on and there is no light in the kitchen to where we used a flashlight when cooking and washing dishes. I would suggest bringing a clip on light.
The surrounding area is really beautiful and we had a good stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. As far as “being secluded in the woods”… that is not in the description at all. There is indeed a kitchen light, if you were unable to locate it you certainly could’ve reached out like you did with your other questions. & as far as screaming or loud voices that could be someone hollering for a dog, or almost anything .. there are homes/cabins or very possibly other airbnbs near

No essential supplies on site.
After the first night we found out the pillow top matress was upside down so we slept on the hard side the first night. Was not told to bring our own cooking supplies and simple seasonings as there is nothing there. No broom or outdoor water available to put out fire and clean the acorns off back deck. Bring everything you have at home for the kitchen and bathroom as well as your own bedding and pots and pans.
Its a place to lay your head. Also no coffee there so bring your whole pantry with all kitchen essentials.

The bed does not have a pillow top mattress, the mattress is firm. So it was not upside down.
Cooking supplies? They are all there from pots/pans to mixing bowls/measuring cups. Even a cheese grater! A 9x13 baking dish as well as a pizza pan. Open the cupboards, open the drawers, things are kept neatly tucked away.
As listed in the VRBO website .. no seasonings or spices or coffee or shampoo is provided due to each person has different preferences .. remember this is an Airbnb not a hotel. & there was full bedding to include sheets & blankets. & extra pillows you seemed to “find”. It’s unfortunate you didn’t reach out & ask questions or better yet take a peak in the few cupboards & drawers… the place is tiny. Nothing was hidden.
In the future I recommend you read the amenities prior to giving a bad review since everything you pointed out is inaccurate.
Wasn’t expecting a 5 star experience in this Northwoods cabin, but we almost walked out and cut our losses. Pictures of listing were much nicer than the actual rental. It’s like someone started to fix up the property 15 years ago, closed it up, then rented it out. Dirt and dust everywhere. This place had spongy plywood floors painted brown. There were some sort of insect pods or nests all over exterior, and between screens and glass of door. Multiple spiders and ants inside. Smelled musty. Sheets were old, pilled and maybe hadn’t been washed, stains. Slept between our own blankets to avoid touching sheets. Glad we brought our own pillows. Got cold at night, heater was advertised, NO HEAT; big old heater unit just sitting there, was not hooked up to gas line laying behind unit, and gas inlet pipe taped with masking tape. Even if it was booked up there was no vent to outside. Provided towels were old and stained. A couple were such an old pattern I’d bet they’re from the 80’s. Doors had no window coverings, even though one looked strait into bed area and the other into the bathroom. The rest of the window coverings were temporary paper stick up shades that had been tacked in place. Seating in dining area was ripped and scratched. Toilet had a wood seat; breeding ground for germs. Glad I brought cleaning wipes along. Speaking of cleaning products: the dirty broom and dust pan in the bathroom next to the plunger certainly weren’t going to get anything clean. If there were a place to post photos, I’ve got plenty. These owners either have no clue what their property manager is doing, have no idea what they’re doing, or just don’t care. Either way, they’re missing out on future renters unless it’s fixed and cleaned.

The cabin was rented to Lisa & guest with no complaints while they stayed. Upon check out a brand new hand towel went missing. Lisa was contacted & asked to pay for the stolen property at which time she refused & threatened to leave a negative review.
