We had a great weekend staying here! It is cozy and quiet which is exactly what we wanted. Not far from Blowing Rock and Boone and GPS got us there easily. Would definitely stay again!
It was a great location to get away from the the noice of the city. Close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Lake Bass and downtown Blowing Rock. The road to and from the cabin was a bit bumpy at times but the weekend went smoothly.
This property was used for a stay with my boyfriend and we had a lovely time. The space is very cozy and well decorated. We did have an unavoidable issue with water usage but the property owner was communicative and it was rectified properly. Thank you :)
I stayed in town in transit for a work trip. It was a cute stop and I enjoyed the location. Make sure to follow written driving directions. It's not complicated, just different from GPS.
This was a great cabin for a couple to spend a few days away. It is located in a wooded area and close to a hiking trail. It is centrally located with easy access to Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Will definitely come back here for a future stay.
This is our second time staying at this property and we cannot wait to come back. It’s a perfect getaway for a couple. We enjoyed watching deer every morning and evening from the porch as well as the easy jaunt into town (BR or Boone) whenever we wanted. 10/10 would recommend
What a little gem. Clean and Great location! very close to Blue ridge pkwy and some of the best hiking trails the park has to offer. minutes to blowing rock for a nice dinner, or pop down to Boone to stock the fridge and chill at the cabin after a long day of hiking.
Peaceful retreat, equal distance to Boone and Blowing Rock, about 18 minutes. Wonderful side deck to sit on and have coffee and breakfast in the morning.
Very comfortable bed. This hideaway is just for 2, but their sister facilitate down the hill holds more. We hope to do an outing and rent both so we could be secluded and the family can be down there; we being the grandparents and can stay out of rhe way...lol

We come to the mountains often and this has been our favorite! Just the 2 of us and it was perfect. Very close to downtown Blowing Rock and the Parkway. Make a reservation at The Game Keeper up the street. This place is very quiet and is off the beaten path. Very clean and the owners are on point! Quick responses to any questions and checked in on us. We will most definitely be back!
Property is as advertised. Well stocked kitchen and bath. Super comfortable bed. Enjoyed sitting on the multiple decks. Deer walked bye while we enjoyed the firepit (supply your own firewood). Owner contact was super quick. As with many mountain properties, there steps up to the cabin from the driveway. Clean and well decorated. Was a relaxing stay. Super close to the Game Keeper Inn if you are looking for a nice dinner out.
One of the best places we have stayed! Very well maintained with a well stocked kitchen with many extras that we didn't have in other places (ex. variety of spices, Keurig and Coffee maker, nice toaster, etc.) The technology items were also extremely nice (ex. Bose Wireless Speaker in the bedroom, phone charger stations on each side of the bed, excellent Wifi and Smart TV.) The shower was nice, too. It had a very nice hand held shower head. We thought the place was perfect for 2 people and perfectly decorated for the mountains.
The owners were quick to respond to questions that we had and the notebook they provided gave easy to follow instructions and suggestions for a variety of things to do and places to eat. We would definitely recommend!
The cabin is really nice. Its very quiet and relaxing. The window air conditioning wasnt in when we got there, but just a call and they got it in right away. We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean. The only thing that i would tell the owner was to add more kitchen items. Theres not alot of storage bowls. Could use a bigger coffee cup. Need to leave more than two towels and two wash rags. We made it work but would have been nice to have an extra set. These items didnt take away from our stay. We had a wonderful time. Deer walked through the yard several times. Great place to stay. Will be back soon.
This location was convenient to Blowing Rock and Boone. The covered side porch was wonderful to have coffee on in the morning. Private and still 8-13 minutes from where we wanted to go. Rustic charm.
Owl's Nest is a cute, well-appointed "tiny home" that offers a nice, quiet mountain getaway for couples. There was a welcome gift of a bottle of wine upon our arrival, which I thought was a very nice touch. Everything was clean and in good working condition. Nice, fluffy, spa quality towels and linens. I especially appreciated the convenience of the onsite washer/dryer. There are several homes close by, but the neighborhood was very quiet, so it felt peaceful and secluded. There was a freak lightning strike our first night at the cabin which knocked out the wifi service to the neighborhood and blew out the wifi router. We contacted Cameron and he was very responsive and helpful in replacing the router and coordinating with the service provider to get the wifi up and working as quickly as possible. I got the sense that he would be very helpful and accommodating in any situation that might arise. The property also has three decks that would be wonderful to enjoy in nice weather and expands the living space. Unfortunately, it was very cold and windy when we were there, so we weren't able to use them. One of them has a nice fire pit which doesn't show on the pictures. I should note that if you are an elderly guest or have any physical limitations, you might have some difficulty climbing the hill to the property as it's quite steep and can be slippery if it's rainy. I would also suggest that wherever you stay in the area, inquire about cell phone coverage beforehand if that's important to you, to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Thank you, Cameron and Angie, for sharing your little mountain home with us. :-)
When we arrived there were deer grazing on the hill, and when we turned off the porch lights the first night we were awestruck by the stars. It was a quiet, beautiful escape with easy access to many activities.

We are both busy professionals with a passion for helping others. Just like you we love to get away and recharge whenever we can. We seek places to stay that have a charm to them. We enjoy live music, good eats and exploring new places. Cameron and I embrace every adventure and try to find hidden gems in all the areas we visit.
Why they chose this property
The High Country of North Carolina has always been a destination for us. We try to get here as often as we can. This property is located right in the middle of three towns that we like to visit often (Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk).
Located off a little dirt road in a small quiet community. You feel like you are far off the beaten path. Yet you are minutes away from some of the best hiking NC has to offer. Hebron Falls is a short but adventurous hike from the front door. The proximity to hiking, the Blue Ridge Parkway, several local towns and NC skiing made this an easy choice for use to call this place our second home.
What makes this property unique
We always wanted a "tiny house." At 450 sqft it is to big to classify as one but it was close enough for use. It has all the amenities of a much larger home. The deck and patio really extend the space and makes it feel much bigger then it is. Making it the best of both worlds for us.
We were able to have the feel of fully equipped home with the adorable charm of a tiny house. There is just something special about it. When you walk in and set your bags down. The unwinding and recharging begins.
