About the host
Hosted by Maggie L

Well, hello there! My name is Maggie and I love connecting with people on shared interests. As we all do, I wear many hats. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mom, homeschool teacher, operations manager for a dental office, and now a property manager for the most charming historic home in Downtown Lafayette! I just hit "the big one" in birthday candles and now that I'm "over the hill" I find myself even more resolved to make the most of our short time here on earth. I love having friends and family over in our home and feel like the Weygold House is just an extra place where my family and I can extend that care and hospitality to others. We have had wonderful, memory making short term vacation rental stays and hope to provide many memories for our guests for years to come.
Why they chose this property
Welcome to the Weygold House! You are invited to fall in love with it as we have! After our initial "oohs" and "ahhs" as we toured the home, we became curious about its story. Who lived here? Where were they from? What major life events has this house played a part in? Come join us as we discover more about the 3 generations of Weygolds who lived and worked and enjoyed this beautiful home in all its stately grandeur.
What makes this property unique
These are a few of my favorite things:
+ Glorious front double door entry
+ Historic beauty and charm
+ Renovated kitchen with a quick heating induction stove and quality drinking water
+ Oasis from the hustle of downtown with a towering hedge of Arborvitae trees and comfortable bench
+ Shutters on all the extra tall windows!
+ Ceiling height! (I'm 6'0" tall and I feel small)
+ Walking distance from my favorite two restaurants in town, Revolution BBQ and East End Grill
