We loved the location and charm of the cabin. We were able to access many outdoor activities nearby and were close enough to walk downtown. The owner was quick to answer questions and the caretakers were very nice. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location. Close to everything and the best part...the porch! You can lose track of time reading out there over the creek. Good internet. Great for a family that doesn't eat out a lot. Having a kitchen was very helpful. The kids loved having their own space and temperature in their room.
Would stay here again. However, would suggest more comfortable sitting arrangements. The couch was not very comfortable. The maintenance man, Ronnie, was extremely helpful and considerate of our needs and wanted us to enjoy our stay which we did.
Already need to go back! The cabin was so cozy and comfortable. My family and I used to stay at the pioneer village growing up. I love that nothing has changed. It is truly a gem.
This little cabin was just perfect. The creek running just outside the back screened in porch, was all that was needed for total relaxation. Enjoyed our stay immensely, but to top it off,on our last night, we were visited by 2 elk. Can't wait to return
Having stayed here numerous times over past 20 years… it did not disappoint.
The 36 hour snow fall was the icing on the cake!
Will look forward to returning with family.
Oh my from approaching Pioneer Village I could see we made the right choice! This little community was just perfect and the creek set it off… we loved everything about this place, from the screened in porch to the cozy feel of the cabin! Perfect location and did I mention the many elk we saw? Definitely wouldn’t want to chose any other spot next time we visit!! Thanks for everything!!
2 couples enjoying a weekend in Maggie Valley. Cabin 3 sits over the creek. Water sounds all around and in the cabin. Could use some updates to the tub/shower. We will definitely come back to this relaxing place!
We had two cabins . . . me and my husband and our two daughters with their husbands. It was wonderful. I have been coming here since I was 6 or 7 years old (I'm 61 now) and bringing our daughters for years. I wanted to share it with our son-in-laws and they love it! Thank your and Ronnie and his family who made the facility beautiful and our trip so wonderful!!
We had the best weekend staying in cabin 3. The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and washcloths for the family. The beds were comfortable and blankets warm. The cabin is so super cute and had the best rustic charm, it was perfect. The creek right outside the back door was the best and so peaceful. We were so close to downtown but yet felt like we were out by ourselves too, the best of both worlds. I had a question about something and sent a message through VRBO and they were excellent at getting back to me quickly and answered my question. The hot water was great for a nice shower at the end of the day too. We will most definitely be back soon.
This little paradise, tucked away from the busyness of Maggie Valley by just a half mile, feels like it's in its own little corner of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our favorite parts were, of course, the creek that can be heard from every room of the house, the fireplace that kept the whole cabin toasty, and the memories we made! The kitchen is pretty spare as far as cooking supplies, but the property managers were so friendly and attentive and readily brought a few essentials that we were lacking. Our family has been coming here for decades, and this last trip did not disappoint. Thanks to the new owners for keeping it up, maintaining these timeworn but beloved cabins, and ensuring many more trips to come!
It’s only a block off Main Street but this circle of cabins feels secluded and at the same time very safe. Having on-site property managers was priceless! We can’t say enough about Ronnie & Mary…the cabin was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in after decades of renting cabins all over TN & NC! Ronnie was so very helpful and kind to these 2 “old” ladies. The creek, the back porch, the fireplace, the rustic yet updated cabin made for the absolute perfect and much needed vacation. I will be going back asap! Loved every minute! Thank you thank you thank you for bringing these antique cabins back to life!
Maggie valley was disappointing. Almost everything was closed and looked a little trashy. Cabins were nice and clean. Not sure what we paid insurance for because we got the flu and had to leave early and was told it doesn't cover getting sick with flu. Also cabins were a little pricey I thought for area.
We have loved this place for over 25 years. The new renovations have added to the appeal of the rustic cabins. The only suggestion i have is a collapsible towel drying rack.
And, im not able to get through to property manager; link would
not work....pls let someone know to look in the window sill right inside the door of Cabin #3.

Liked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Not what i expected
Very unrequited cottage. 1 butter knife, cabin extremely drafty, i know the new owners are trying to get the most for their money but I've stayed at pioneer village for 5 decades and I am very disappointed in what they have done to the place. Stop trying to make a buck and make it like it should be
