Porchland Cottage -PRACTICALLY NEW HOUSE with Countryside view -pet friendly

Porchland Cottage is a hillside retreat featuring views of the countryside with large porches & is the perfect place for a get-away or visiting the Nashville area. The cottage is brand new-extremely clean-8 min to town-40 min to Nashville and only 8 miles to Sumner Regional Med Center.

Located on the hillside of historic South Tunnel railroad & close to neighboring Gallatin, one of the most haunted cities in TN. The land was occupied during the civil war by Union soldiers and has an area that is considered “The Fort”, although no structure exists.
The space
*Private home with 3 comfortable bedrooms featuring 2 queen and 2 full size (double) beds.
*All beds have gel infused memory foam mattresses for a cooling luxury sleep.
*Master bedroom has its own private bath.
*All bedrooms have full size mirrors to let you check out your look...especially if headed off to one of the local wedding venues.
*All bedrooms have linens and comforters/quilts and pillows provided along with additional linens.
*Bathrooms have plenty of cushy towels to ensure you never run out! Master bedroom has an attached en-suite with tile shower. Upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo.
*A comfortable sofa in the living room sleeps an additional guest, if necessary.
*All TV’s are smart with Roku that has connections to Netflix, Amazon, etc.
*Hi speed Wifi/internet access available through Xfinity 300-400 mbps)
*Washer and dryer provided with laundry pods and dryer sheets.
*Full kitchen with all your cooking necessities including a Keurig and regular coffee maker with filters, blender, mixer and slow cooker too!
*Children's dishes and plastic cups are provided.
*Gas grill with extra propane tank and cooking utensils provided.
*Enjoy the outdoors with a fire pit that includes 6 Adirondack chairs and natural log stools/side tables that can also be used for extra seating.
* A pack and play and safety gate are provided for children.
*Porches come furnished with plenty of sitting/rocking chairs for added relaxation and wildlife watching. Rabbits, squirrels, turkey and deer are a common site!

*If bringing pets, a small fee for two pets or less of $50 is included in your price breakdown. If you desire to bring more than two pets, you must get pre-approval from the host before booking.

Stayed at Porchland for a softball tournament. Property was well situated to the tournament, nicely remodeled, and had plenty of room for our family of three plus grandparents. Loved the quiet woods, wrap around porch for our morning coffee/tea, and daily walks down Wallace road. Overall, a great stay!

Porchland For Christmas

This was a great place to stay and visit with our oldest daughter for Christmas and we were able to bring along our dogs, which was great! Place is conveniently located to Nashville and Kentucky, plenty of room, and very clean. Loved the Porch! We will probably be using this cottage again! Thank you so much, the Christmas decorations were a nice touch =)

GREAT GETAWAY!

Our stay at Porchland was fantastic. We were close enough to shopping if we needed anything but far enough away to where we felt secluded from the craziness of the world and we could relax. The house had everything we needed and then some. It was a nice feeling when Dottie reached out to us to see if we needed anything.We look forward to returning very soon.

Perfect for Nashville Getaway

This house was perfect for our family Nashville getaway. Close enough to Nashville, but away from the hustle and bustle. The home has the "old house" charm, but has been completely renovated and seemed brand new inside. The owner thought of every detail to ensure our stay was comfortable. I cannot emphasize enough how CLEAN and comfortable this home was. We definitely recommend.

Friends Weekend

Very nicely appointed home. We were all very impressed. Quiet area, lovely views. We even saw a small herd of deer eating acorns just outside the window. Everything you need if you're preparing your own food. It is about 10-15 minutes either way to a grocery store. I would highly recommend this location.

Quaint country cottage

We enjoyed our long weekend in this welcoming and well-appointed country home on a hill. Every detail was thought out and there were so many nice touches. The decor was tasteful and perfectly suited for a Nashville area cottage. We spent a lot of time on the huge porch beneath the fans while the kiddies caught and releasef fireflies. The beds were very comfortable and the layout was great for our family of six. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Portland people are friendly and polite. Our hostess Dottie was terrific.

Lovely House; Great Experience

Stayed at Porchland with my children when in Nashville for a visit. We loved the house and the location. Very clean. Beds comfortable. The bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. We loved the porches and built a fire in the fire pit. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Also, it’s a part of the greater Nashville area I wasn’t familiar with and very nice and quiet. But it’s also an easy 40 minute drive to downtown if you really want to see that too. Absolutely perfect for us. You can’t go wrong with Porchland. Highly recommend.

Dotti was absolutely amazing! We stayed here for Softball Nationals at Drakes Creek Park with myself, mother, and three 17 year old girls and there was more than enough space. The house was absolutely gorgeous! Coffee on the front porch every morning and taking in the sunset every night made us never want to leave. The area is quiet, relaxing, and just far enough from the busy highway to really take in the scenery. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Dotti during our stay and she was so sweet and friendly and gave us history about the area which we all loved discovering. Dotti was so quick to respond to any message with a question that we had before or during our stay, which was so appreciated. We can't wait to rebook a stay here!

Softball Tournament

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The house was exactly as the pictures. Warm, welcoming, and felt just like home. It was so wonderful to come “home”, have dinner and relax, shopping was easy to get to and downtown Nashville was a 30 minute ride.

Porchland perfection

Everything about this house is perfect. The )ocation, view, atmosphere, and space are all perfect. This house is absolutely beautiful, beds are comfortable, and the water pressure for the showers are amazing. The burn pit is a great way to enjoy family time and unwind. Wonderful Home Away from Home

We celebrated Christmas as the Porchland property and it was perfect. This home is not only warm and inviting, it was even decorated for the Holiday. We enjoyed our time in Tennessee and would highly recommend this sweet home!

A very well maintained property in a country setting that is only 40 minutes to downtown Nashville. This modern farmhouse is in a quiet area sitting on approximately 5 acres only a mile off a 4-lane highway that leads to neighboring Gallatin (10 min), Hendersonville (20 min), Portland (10 min) and Downtown Nashville (40 min). Self-check is very easy. Use the code provided and enter the property at your convenience. Basic amenities such as paper towels, kitchen cleaning supplies, toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, and washer/dryer supplies are all supplied.
