It had a fenced in yard with a great deck and tons of other amenities. We walked downtown every single day as it was super close. The parking spots were ideal and right in front. The road the house sits on is very quiet and friendly. We had a great time. Host was always around for anything we needed. Thank you!!!
* Host is a very attentive and we'd love to stay at her place again. My husband and I stayed with another couple for a weekend. The kitchen, living room and dining space was perfect for us. Very walkable to restaurants and coffee shops downtown (~5 minutes).
* Loved this super cute and cozy well decorated space. I could walk to everything downtown but was also close to Whole Foods and other shopping options. Wish I had more time to stay here. Host was great!
* Gorgeous house, beautiful kitchen and backyard. Great location!
* Home is fantastic! It’s spacious, bright and full of character! The house is just a short walk from town, making it a great place to take in all Portsmouth has to offer.
* This home was wonderful! Everything we needed was provided and host was very responsive when we had any questions. The space itself exudes quintessential New England charm. The TV room/den was great to relax in. The Kitchen was open and spacious, bathrooms were large and clean, and the bedrooms were perfect. The beds themselves were quite comfortable. We did not use the dining room, but have no doubt it would work great for a family meal. The real star of the home was the fully fenced-in backyard and patio. We enjoyed grilling and relaxing after a long day. The location couldn’t be better. The home is only a short walk to downtown Portsmouth, but provides some nice privacy and most importantly was very quiet at night. Overall a wonderful stay and would love to come back for another visit!

Thank you Edward! You and your wife were lovely guests. So glad you had a relaxing stay. Kindly, Melissa
We had a great time at Melissa's charming Portsmouth home, which was very comfortable for all of us, especially with the deck and fenced in yard for our dog. It was wonderful to be so close to downtown Portsmouth with views of the water and centrally located to explore the New Hampshire beaches and make day trips up into Maine. We really enjoyed the area and hope to come back soon! Melissa offered many sightseeing recommendations and was a kind and great host and easy to work with throughout our stay. Thank you!!!

Why they chose this property
This property is not only historic in age, it is in a highly desirable location, a stones throw to the ocean water that flows in from the Piscataqua River. Just a few blocks to downtown- you can forego the car and walk everywhere! The home is on a dead end street, and provides guests with a private space and backyard to come back to and relax in after exploring the area.
