About this property

Villa LasAzaleas is situated in the area of Curumbico a few hundred meters from the national 340 road on a hillside overlooking the sea. Curumbico lies between Almuñécar and Salobreña and it is only a small 10-minute drive to either city. The house is situated in a very quiet area surrounded by a few houses and lovely garden including several fruit trees (avocados, oranges, olives, ...), however it’s still very close to the beach and next to all the leisure activities offered in Almuñécar and Salobreña (shops, parks, museums, restaurants, bars, aquarium, water park, ...). The house is built on a separate plot of 800 m2 and surrounded by a garden with abundant fruit trees and plants. This house also has its own private swimming pool (12 meters long) and nice garden furniture for you to relax by the pool or on the terrace.
The entire living area is on one floor but there are a few steps in between certain areas. The main floor has a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a terrace, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living room gives immediate access to a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the best views of the sea right in front of you. In the winter it is even possible to close off the terrace with glass so you can enjoy the light and the view but keep the wind out. Around the house there are 2 separate terraces and a well-maintained garden. If you want to enjoy your morning cup of coffee you can do so on the small terrace right outside the kitchen.
The property has private parking and a garage. The house is well equipped and the garden and swimming pool are maintained regularly.
If you like the beach, you are within walking distance of two of the best beaches in Almuñécar: Curumbico and Cabria. Curumbico beach can only be accessed on foot. It is possible to drive to Cabria beach and then walk to Curumbico beach via a safe path along the cliffs next to the sea.
Villa Azalea is an ideal starting point to discover all the wonderful places Andalucia has to offer. Nerja and the Balcon de Europa is less than 20 km away, Malaga, Granada and the mountains of the Sierra Nevada are 80 km away and easy to drive to via the new motorways.

der Aufenthalt war einfach nur super. das einzige was ich etwas bemängeln würde war die Zufahrt zum Haus,es wäre gut gewesen wenn man das vorher gewusst hätte, da unser Auto sehr tief ist war es etwas schwer aber es ging alles gut. Ich würde trotzdem jedezeit wieder dieses Objekt buchen.

Lovely villa with everything you need and amazing view. You must have a car. You cannot walk to a bar or restautant but taxis are easy. We had a lovely trip cooked at the villa most nights and it was very a relaxing stay there.

Great villa and a nice little Spanish town!

A very nice destination! Everything was as in the description. The local contact person was available all the time and helped if there were problems. Quiet neighborhood, well-maintained and clean house. The long pool and the whole pool area was great, as was the covered back terrace where we spent a lot of time. The kitchen had everything you needed. The only minor complaint was the air conditioner in the master bedroom, which did not work properly and leaked water on the floor. Hopefully it can be fixed for the next guests. The walking route to the nearest beach (Playa de Curumbico) can be a bit challenging for those with weak legs but there are lots of other beaches to visit. =) Almuñécar is a nice little town with all the necessary services. But be prepared to learn a few words in Spanish as locals don't speak English everywhere... We recommend visiting the old town area and the castle. The Friday market was also fun.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in der Villa Las Azaleas. Am besten hat uns die überdachte Terrasse mit Meerblick gefallen. Man hat verschiedene Plätze, wo man sich treffen aber auch aus dem Weg gehen kann. Man bekommt auf der Terrasse wenig mit, was am Pool so passiert, was wir super fanden. Kleiner Nachteil: Viele Absätze und Treppen dazwischen. Auch super fanden wir, dass es an vielen Fenstern Mückengitter gibt, so dass man auch mal Querlüften konnte, ohne dass die Stechmücken rein kommen (zumindest im September war es dann zum Glück auch etwas kühler). Ende August war es extrem schwül warm, was man eigentlich nur mit Klimaanlage ausgehalten hat, die funktionierten super. Das Schilf das im Baranca wächst, wenn man runter zum Strand läuft, wächst da nicht ohne Grund, es hat tatsächlich im August einige Male geregnet (nicht lang oder viel, daher war es auch so schwül). Wir empfehlen geschlossene Schuhe für den Weg zum Strand, dann war das problemlos. Diesen Strand fanden wir sehr schön, klein und super zum Schnorcheln (viele kleine Fische). Aber ich empfehle die spanischen Medusa-Apps. Uns haben leider Quallen am ersten Tag im Meer erwischt, danach wussten wir auch warum viel Essig in der Küche vorhanden war ;-). Ansonsten kann man viele Ausflüge machen (Sierra Nevada, Granada, Nerja) und ist dank der Autobahn schnell überall. Vielen Dank, dass wir bei Ihnen unseren Urlaub verbringen durften.
