Welcome to your charming, vintage, two-bedroom, seasonal cottage on lovely Norton Pond. You’ll love the lakefront views from every room!

This 1941 cottage is a true Maine cottage. Rebuilt and updated in 2001, the owners added some modern conveniences while leaving the pine woodwork and other charming characteristics of the cottage.

Situated on three-quarters of an acre, this cottage has lovely views of the pond and Camden Hills. The cottage has perennial gardens, a small front sitting porch, and a floating dock on the pond.

FRE-WIL Cottage is just 12 minutes from downtown Camden, 10 minutes from hiking trails, and two hours from Bar Harbor and lovely Acadia National Park.

Charming stay on the lake
Overall a great stay for the family. The house was a perfect size for our family of 4 and appeared to be relatively well maintained with the right amount of old rustic charm. The lake water was a perfect temperature for swimming and the small stream adjacent to the property provided soothing nighttime sounds in the 2nd bedroom. Two minor complaints: 1. There was a musty odor in the 2nd bedroom (with the twin beds) that appeared to be coming from the carpet. 2. While the kitchen cabinets were packed with "stuff" the selection of the basics (i.e. pots and pans) was very limited. Many of the kitchen items were worn or of poor quality. (i.e, the kitchen knives were dull and flimsy). The kitchen could go for a reorgnization and cleanout/replacement of old and worn items. However, those were minor issues to the overall experience and we would stay again.
