The listing is a private apartment in an 11 unit building that is set up solely for Airbnb guests. The rooms are cozy and compact, but perfect for traveling guests! You will love calling this space your home away from home.

Guest Access:
The entire apartment is yours privately during your stay. The only common areas are the exterior sidewalks and pathways. Your door is secured by a deadbolt lock.

The Neighborhood:
Up-and-coming Wedgewood-Houston is a buzzing art hub, with former factories converted into art spaces and studios. Crowds fill galleries during the monthly “Art Crawl,” relax at cocktail bars or sample drinks in craft distilleries. The restored Fort Negley, a remnant of the Civil War, is surrounded by trees and paths, while the flea market at nearby Nashville Fairgrounds is packed with antiques and bric-a-brac. The newly build soccer stadium Geodis Park is also connected to the fairgrounds.

Getting Around:
Walking, biking, scooter rentals, ubers and lyfts are all great ways to navigate the area.

Gentrification in Progress

The rental itself was a comfortable accomodation for our two night stay although we were not there much. It was very dusty and duvets were not changed from the previous stay. Otherwise, the unit was very clean. Humphrey Street Coffee, a lovely place to have coffee, is located on the diagonal corner. This property is located in a gentrification district with nearby gravel lots with razor wire topped fences and this unit faces a Park Happy lot. We were approached by grifters one evening wanting "food". This is not a ketchy shopping district where one would enjoy walking. Perhaps with additional development this end of the district will improve.

Weekend Getaway

Overall the listing was enough for us through the weekend as we didn’t spend much time there. The pictures make it look much more updated than it actually is. There was dust everywhere, the fridge wasn’t freshly cleaned, and the sponge for dishes was awful (with no extras provided). Linens were all clean and the bed was decently comfortable. Check in was super easy, and the area is sooo quiet but close enough to everything. We had our car there and street parking was never an issue (it’s in a pretty residential area). Was really just disappointed in the real life appearance compared to the listing as it seemed a little deceiving. All in all would stay again with deeper cleaning and DEFINITELY suggest a toaster and a real coffee maker.
