The staircase is extremely steep and the handrail is weirdly low. Not great for anyone who is a little unsteady on their feet. Had I realized the only bathroom was upstairs, I may have made a different choice. Everything else was great, though! The location was convenient to the things we wanted to visit.

My daughter is a student at NMU, so we have stayed here a couple times and will come back again! The house is lovely, fully equipped, and has a great view of a small lake across the way. The drive is about 25 minutes to the University, but the price is worth it as most places in Marquette are more expensive. We typically travel with our dog, and they always leave dog treats for us. The house is very clean and comfortable. We especially like the pellet grill on the back patio; we picked up some steaks in Marquette and grilled out....amazing! The kitchen has basic supplies, which is appreciated. The neighborhood is quiet, clean and safe. There's a small park around the corner and the neighborhood is nice for walking the dog. Will definitely be back again!

This house was very cozy and in an easy location. We enjoyed being able to use the full kitchen to minimize eating out. Beds were very comfortable as well!

Host was very responsive. Sleeping arrangements we a bit cramped because the pull out couch was dirty and the kids had to sleep together on the bed upstairs. Otherwise things went smoothly and we were all reasonably comfortable. Plenty of extra pillows, sheets, blankets and linens.

A Haven on Hazel
