Great place for our annual siblings trip

The planning was quite frustrating since the hosts asked us to move our Thurs-Sun stay to a Fri-Mon stay, mere days before, due to a supposed conflict with another guest on the Thursday we'd booked months prior. We agreed, but could never get our vrbo booking to show the change (hosts said they tried several times). Hosts generously agreed to privately refund cost of one night due to the extra hassle, but vrbo makes this difficult. Then why the five-star rating, you may ask?... the house is lovely and well appointed. It's really more accurate to picture this home on a lake, not a river, since it's on a section that is dammed and quite large. I'm not sure all the beds are exactly as stated which mattered because we are six very mature (50's and 60's) siblings with one brother so a couple sisters had to double up which magnifies the difference between a double and a queen. All in all we had a wonderful time - hiked the Cool Bough Natural Area, kayaked out of Wisner's livery, enjoyed a bonfire on the lake, and even some shopping in downtown Newaygo.
