Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our long weekend at oib in this nicely interior renovated house that is so close to so much. It is within walking distance of children’s playground, splash pad, putt putt,pier and of course the beach. This unit was well stocked and extremely clean helping for a nice relaxing getaway.

This was a great place for us to stay!! This place was where we had my bachelor party. Nice finishes and great location. It had a dock to fish and bring a boat or jet ski up to. Two things I would of changed…the first is more toiletries, there was barely enough (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) and second would be a grill. We love to grill steaks, burgers, chicken…it would of been nice to have that. Everything else was super easy! Easy check in, easy check out, easy to have fun!

A few things to note for improvements. Clean the air returns regularly, these are in need of major attention. The dishwasher needs maintenance & is full of sludge & slime, unusable. The back bedroom (L) door was off its top hinge & that same bedroom looks like the wardrobe mirror was previously broken; the bed in that room has a broken wood slat, door lock to that bathroom is incorrect as it’s inside the room. The bunkbed was missing the ladder & the bottom bunk wood slats were hanging down. The back bedroom (R) has a hole in the bathroom door & the duvet was stained. With pets being welcome to make it truly pet friendly consider a fence, add gates at the top of stairs on either deck, the storm door is also missing a spring to keep it closed, the grass is full of thatch & stickers that were repeatedly a problem for paws; access to a vacuum would be nice. The windows were all open a crack from the top causing mildew build up on the blinds & in the front (L) bedroom there is mildew on the ceiling closets to the front window, the bed squeaks. All of the beds being full size is challenging, add queen options to accommodate for couples. The land/hardscaping & exterior doors could use attention. The door mats are beyond their life & are not serving any purpose to help keep dirt & sand out of the house. It’s great that the house offers linens however, two bath towels per adult would be best & multiple wash clothes. Add kitchen towels, more pots & pan options & coffee/tea mugs.
