This was our second stay in this lovely home. We love Cumberland Gap. The house was clean and had everything you would need. Be sure to check out the coffee house while you are here. My only complaint - I miss the front screen door
Everything in the house was bigger/better than posted and the town was adorable. Cute coffee shops and restaurants ad the location to hiking was better than expected. I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
We booked for 2 adults and 5 children. Only one of our children was short enough to sleep on the couch that was advertised as being the 7th place to sleep. It is not long enough or wide enough to accommodate most full size adults (back cushions are sewn on and can't be removed). The air mattress was missing the pump to inflate it, and only 5 towels were provided. The hosts quickly supplied a new air mattress and additional towels. There was also some confusion on our part when we checked the listing when we arrived because it lists the air mattress as a twin (even though the description says it's a full), and the couch was clearly not long enough to sleep on for most people, and there were only 2 extra pillows on a shelf in the closet when there should have been 3 (we happened to have brought one from home). This house would be comfortable for 4, reasonable for 5, and a very tight squeeze for 6 people. It does not accommodate 7 unless the person sleeping on the couch is a child.Overall it was moderately clean, but not sparkling (dust and debris on windowsills, stains and rips on two different comforters). The house is very old and in an area with lots of creeks very nearby and had a very strong musty odor that did not dissipate after two days. Someone with allergies or sensitivity to odors may be bothered by it. Check-in was very easy and the location is excellent, being easily walkable to downtown
Very quiet neighborhood.
Perfect location for a hiker with easy access to the trails.

We enjoyed staying in the historic district of Cumberland Gap and walking to local hiking spots. The house is clean and well maintained, with plenty of kitchen supplies.
The house is charming, a 1920s Craftsman style, with antique pieces mingled in with more comfortable modern furniture.
Very cute little cottage. There’s more space than the pictures show and it was very clean and tidy. Kitchen was supplied well.

We loved this property because we appreciate old towns. We liked the slow pace but with great options for nearby great food. House is as described however IGA is in Harrogate about 5 min away by car and the Dollar store is 6 to 7 min away. The hosts respond within min to text or questions which was wonderful. We will visit this property again.
