This is our 2nd time to stay at this house. The location is just perfect. Super easy walk to town and an easy walk to the beach! Check-in and communication were awesome. The kids loved their 3rd floor compound! The 3rd floor balcony has amzing views and a lock up high on the door to keep little from opening it on their own! The perfect space for a large family group. We had 13 ranging in age from 10 weeks to 63 years.

Check in and communication was seamless. Home was breathtaking, clean, inviting, perfect for our party of 12, and room for more. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for us as 5 women getting together for a girls' weekend in South Haven. Close to downtown close to the beach, and the third floor balcony was great for visiting and watching the sunset and storms. Totally recommend!

Perfect place to stay in South Haven. The house was clean and was very much like all the descriptions. We used grill every night. We had 6 people and a baby and had way more than enough room.

If you are looking for a host who will leave you locked out of the house in the cold in February and greet you with completely full trash bins and then accuse you of causing damage for scuff marks on the wall look no further. The views are beautiful, the beds are hard as a rock, and while I tried to give the host the benefit of the doubt unfortunately she saw a few wall marks as a cash grab instead of taking responsibility for the upkeep of the property with the over 1300 she took for a 42 hour rental. But don’t worry she’ll give you a later checkout than you ask for so she can try to claim it wasn’t a problem to leave you out in the cold. I’ve rented many other properties in South Haven over the past 10 years, and though this location was the best this host was by far the worst. I’ve never used VRBO before this trip and never will again if this is the type of hosts who use the site. And if you do decide to book you’ve been warned — hope you don’t get charged for touching a wall or not drying all the towels.

This review is disappointing and does not reflect the actual experience. There was a temporary access issue due to an incorrect code generated by the platform, which we responded to immediately and resolved within MINUTES. The home had JUST been professionally cleaned and freshly painted the week prior to this stay, with no guests in between. After checkout, multiple wall scuff marks were found (and reported by my Property Manager who was well aware of it just being painted) that required touch-up, cleaning and repainting and a minimal $50 charge was requested. We had also accommodated a late checkout for this guest in advance before she ever checked in as a courtesy. Regarding the beds, comfort is subjective; however four of the beds are brand new memory foam beds and the others top of the line mattresses and this guest has stayed with us previously without any concerns noted and returned for another stay. We take pride in maintaining a clean, well-managed home and being highly responsive to our guests. We believe in being fair and transparent with all charges and encourage future guests to consider our many positive reviews that reflect this!

Spacious gathering space for a large family

The spacious kitchen/family room felt roomy enough for our large family. The fenced backyard with a large deck provided a safe space for the younger children especially. Being close to town was handy too.

We loved Panellas place! Plenty of room for the whole family. The house was super clean. The views were fantastic. It was a relaxing, hassle-free, enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend that anyone visiting South Haven stay at the Panellas Place. We will not have to shop around for places to stay again. This will be our go-to place.

Perfect location for Icebreakers

Stayed 2 nights with a group of 12 people for icebreakers. Loved the location, roomy kitchen and living room. The couple lucky enough to arrive last stayed in the upper level and had a beautiful view of the water (and those of us there early enough to see the sunset enjoyed that from the upper level). Accommodations were excellent, will definitely stay again!

Girls weekend

We had such a great time staying at this beautiful home! This was our second time staying at this house. The kitchen was a perfect spot for gathering, and the bedrooms were super cozy. We had such a wonderful time. The view from the third floor is fabulous. The home is decorated with a nice beach feel We had a lot of family coming in and out all week, and there was more than enough room for everyone. Jill, the owner was very helpful, even sending a plumber out for same day service on a slow tub drain. We would definitely stay here again!!

Bookclub 25 year celebration

The location is perfect and the main floor open space was ideal for gathering, talking, eating together. It is light and airy and close to everything in town and the beach. The view from the 3rd floor balcony is gorgeous. It could use an upgrade in some of the kitchen ware(baking sheets, frying pans) but suited our group's needs very well.

My family and closest friends still live in South Haven, and I return with my own family every summer. Hosting this home allows me to share the joy, beauty, and memories of this special town with others. I currently live in Tampa, Florida, but South Haven will always be “home.”

I purchased and lovingly renovated this home in 2005 because of its extraordinary character and history. The property is over 100 years old and was originally part of the iconic Grand Hotel overlooking the bluff. The neighborhood offers the perfect blend of charm, walkability, and peaceful views. It’s ideal for gathering family and friends, and the upgraded amenities and open layout were designed specifically for entertaining and creating unforgettable memories.
