smoking and vaping not allowed
25+ age requirement to book. ——————————————- Local favorites: ☕ Coffee & Breakfast
* Clyde’s Coffee Roasting Company: Located right on the Nevada side near the base of the mountain. It has a cozy "Old West" feel with a fireplace—perfect for a pre-ski caffeine fix.
* Drink Coffee Do Stuff: A local favorite for high-altitude roasted beans and a great vibe.
* Red Hut Café: A Tahoe classic since the 1950s. Head here for a nostalgic breakfast of waffles and "mountain-sized" omelets.
* Driftwood Café: Located in the Heavenly Village; it’s famous for its creative eggs benedict and homey atmosphere.
🍴 Dinner & Drinks
* Chart House: Just a short drive away on Kingsbury Grade. It offers legendary seafood and some of the best panoramic sunset views of Lake Tahoe.
* Himmel Haus: Located near the California base, this German bierhaus serves up excellent schnitzel, pretzels, and a massive selection of German beers.
* Base Camp Pizza Co.: A lively spot in the Village with great gourmet pizzas, outdoor firepits, and live music almost every night.
* The Lucky Beaver: Located in Stateline; it's a 24/7 spot known for having some of the best burgers in the area.
🥾 Hidden Gem Trails
* Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) - Stagecoach to Monument Peak: Since you are steps from the trailhead, follow the TRT south toward Monument Peak. You’ll get incredible views of both the Lake Tahoe Basin and the Carson Valley.
* Van Sickle Bi-State Park: A unique park where you can hike across the California/Nevada state line. The trails are relatively moderate and lead to a beautiful waterfall.
* Castle Rock: A moderately challenging hike off Kingsbury Grade that leads to a massive rock formation. If you're feeling adventurous, you can scramble to the top for a 360-degree view.
🎿 Winter Essentials
* Stagecoach Lodge: Your "home" lodge! It’s generally less crowded than the main Gondola area, making it a local secret for getting onto the mountain faster.
* The Mott Canyon Lift: For advanced skiers, this area offers some of the best expert terrain and "hidden" stashes of powder
