This contemporary ocean front home is quiet and comfortable, nestled among the trees on a private road. A prefect retreat that overlooks freshwater ponds with a private deck and rocky beach.

Oversized windows give you a Spectacular Ocean Views from almost every window in the house, and the wrap around deck looks out to stunning ocean views as well.
Master bedroom has its own private balcony with its own private bath. Located in the heart of the rocky coast of Maine, between York and Ogunquit.
We have the rights to offer immediate property owners access to a rocky beach down from the house. The beach is shared by the property owners in the area. Only the immediate renters can use the beach ! If you are renting you cannot bring friends and guests to the beach. Because people have been injured climbing on the rocks and cliff , we do have a liability form renters must sign. ( sorry it only took one family to invite friends and over use the shared area.)

This home has a beautiful architectural design, an ocean view and short path down to the water. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. My family enjoyed our stay and our host was attentive.

Fabulous House!

This was our second time staying at this house in Cape Neddick. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with the essentials. The views are amazing and the house is close to all activites in and around Ogunquit, York, and Cape Neddick. We would definitely come back again!

Peace, quiet, and idyllic views

We had a totally relaxing stay and enjoyed wonderful views every day. The weather was marvellous, and so we made many walks in the wonderful state of Maine admiring the fall. Our only slight negative comment is that the house is ready for some refurb in the kitchen and bathrooms as they are getting a little tired. The hosts are very attentive, and quick to respond to any problems.

This lovely home was perfect for our family trip to Maine! Our host was excellent with communication and anxious to meet any needs that arise. ( we did not have any) The views were beautiful and kept us captivated, even during by the rain.

Peaceful Bliss

Beautiful home with outstanding ocean view! Cynthia was a great host, providing timely communication and wonderful tips regarding the property and things to do in the area. The home is perfectly laid out and the ocean view is spectacular from just about every room in the house (and obviously from the large deck outside!). One of the most relaxing vacations we have had in the past 20 years. Highly recommended!

An Ocean Oasis

If you are looking for crowds and noise, this is not your place. But if you want a comfortable quiet place for a small group to enjoy the amazing ocean views and relax and rest, this is perfect. It is also centrally located between Ogunquit and York, so if you want the crowds then they are readily available. This is a great place to enjoy the Maine coast. The online pictures do not do it justice. We enjoyed our stay immensely. I don't know it we will make it back to Maine any time soon, but we will certainly try to come back here. The Wrights

Twice Was Nice

Second time we stayed at Cynthia and Rod's lovely home and it was just as terrific as our first experience. In fact, the location may be even better now with the opening (since last we were here) of the Cliff House, which is a great resource to have nearby. And when we had a question this year Rod got back to us immediately. And followed up twice! Highly recommended!

A little bit of Heaven!

When we opened the front door and saw the wall of windows with the magnificent view of the trees, expanse of lawn and the waves crashing on rocks in the ocean we knew we had made the right choice ! That was before we took in the lovely furnishings , where we spent quite a few restful hours reading our books and enjoying the views, when we weren't out on the deck , loving the sunshine ,the surroundings and the sound and of the waves, or walking down to the rocky beach area to enjoy getting close up to the incoming tide. The beds are extremely comfortable and listening to the waves at night makes sleeping here so easy. In the mornings we were visited by a whole family group of wild turkeys, 3 adults and many, many youngsters . Also a family of deer were frequently spotted running around between the bushes and trees. Full confession , our family of four stayed around the house much more than we had planned as we were so happy and content there. Having said that , there is so much to do around York Beach and the area, but since my daughter had a fractured knee and was on crutches we mainly just sat back and really enjoyed some R. and R. time here . It was the perfect home to do it in, with just about everything needed provided by the hosts. . And note the use of the word' home' instead of house. It does feel like home. Thanks to Cynthia and Rod for opening it up to us. Our only complaint - it is SO hard to come back to real life when you leave!

Ok house

Nice house with a great view and good layout. Several improvements at little cost to the owners would have gone a long way to make the stay much more comfortable. To their credit, the owners were responsive to my inquiries, and seemed like very nice people. The listing includes a hot tub. There isn’t one. This didn’t matter to me, but was a serious disappointment to my daughter. Assuming it was a mistake, I can’t imagine how they made such a big one. There was no hairdryer. Again, the owner responded to my inquiry. She said that perhaps a prior renter took it. We purchased one at Target. The coffee pot was not usable. It was very dirty inside and out, and even if I washed it, I wouldn’t feel comfortable using it. We purchased a cheap one at Target. There is no air conditioning in one of the downstairs bedrooms. The air conditioner which cools the living room is not adequate to cool the bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms have window/stand alone units. The living room air conditioning was very comfortable. I purchased a new shower curtain liner myself and hung it in the downstairs shower. The one that was left was moldy. The layout of the house is lovely, and the views outstanding. The house is quite dated. I don’t mind that, but the blinds look original to the house, and don’t function to block out the sun in the ocean facing bedrooms.

Hi: I do not know how one thought that the house had a hot tub. We have never had a hot tub and it is NOT listed on our face page. New cleaner who did not wash coffee pot, or catch shower curtain. I was NOT there, my husband was, and he just did not catch the problems. Hair dryer was "taken" by last guests. It is certainly replaced. Yes, 2 out of 3 bedrooms have window air conditioners, which work well. The 3rd bedroom has multiple fans in closet. Sorry that you missed an air conditioner in that room. We can think about buying an air conditioner for that room. No one has complained before.

The "Wow" When You Open the Door!

Cynthia's home is just terrific, and has absolutely everything you need for a fantastic Maine vacation. As soon as we opened the front door and saw the sweeping views of the ocean, the spacious rear deck, the comfortable furniture, the whole deal, we knew that we had made a good decision. Happy to answer any questions, but the home is a delight and Cynthia is a wonderful host.

Lovely Home in Ideal Location

This Cape Neddick home is clean, well-appointed, and lovely. The location is perfect for short dives to Portland, Portsmouth, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, York, Kittery, and even Boston. There are MANY great beaches very close, and a small rocky beach on the home's property. The small beach isn't really one for swimming and spending the day, but it makes for fun exploration. The owner and the manager were both easy to work with. We found just about every kitchen item we could think of or need--including a Soda Stream. The only item we couldn't find was a vegetable peeler, but we could have missed it. Our only issue was the spotty internet service, but it seems to be a problem all over the area, not just with this property. We--two couples and a small child--highly recommend the beautiful home and location on Drifting Gull Lane. We hope to return.

Beautiful Waterfront Property

We had a wonderful and memorable family vacation at this beautiful property. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with, and the house is clean and well-maintained. It is situated in an ideal location, with beach access, as well as a small pond between the house and the rocky beach. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, and is just a short drive to many popular attractions, beaches, and activities. We would love to return here in the future!

Perfect!

Spectacular views, quiet neighborhood and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us plus company. The layout was great and it was decorated very nice. The showers and bedding were very good, having a good shower and a comfortable bed is important to me. The kitchen had everything you would ever need and everything was very clean. The beaches were close by and there were lot of choices for dining out. We would certainly like to come back.

Beautiful ocean breezes, spectuclar views and rainbows too!

Where do I even start? This home was a TRUE home away from home for me and my husband. It was a beautiful home on the ocean, yet it still had such a comfortable vibe to it that we actually never wanted to leave during our stay! The house was spotless, as was the yard. And that ocean view, so beautiful, we ate every meal on the deck! The kitchen was great, lots of counter space - plenty of cookware, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge - all the comforts of home. We had a couple of questions for Cynthia and Rod, they called us back immediately and were extremely accomidating, great communication, and friendly too! They even had idiot proof (which meant, even I had no trouble! ha!) tv remotes/DVD and my husband gave the wireless connection two thumbs way up! Master bedroom was fabulous with even a walk in closet! We actually stayed most of the nights in one of the first floor bedrooms (due to the comfort of our dogs) and the beds were super comfy. We had taken our two golden retrievers with us and they were in their glory the entire week. Keep in mind, we did not leave our dogs alone for a minute in the house. Please note - pet owners, this home is wonderful, do not bring your pet if you are going to leave it alone to go to the beach. The neighbordhood was so quiet and peaceful (another luxurious perk of the house!) - having a dog by themselves all day, barking up a storm, would really ruin things for the neighbors (and it would give those of us responsible pet owners a bad name!). Stuff that was close by: 5 minutes drive to Short Sands Beach, 10 minutes drive to Nubble Light, 10 minutes drive to Anthony's (best pizza and subs in York), 13 minutes drive to Hannaford's for groceries, 15 minutes drive to Mt Agamenticus (beach in the morning, mountains in the afternoon - so perfect!), 15 minutes drive to Kittery & the outlets and 25 minutes drive to Congdon's Doughnuts in Wells (best donut you will ever have in your life, go early). Highlights for me: Meals on the deck with that gorgeous ocean view, the crisp ocean breezes in the warm afternoons, the sunrises, the sunsets, the rainbow that appeared over the ocean after a brief rainstorm, the smell of the wildflowers when walking down the pathway to the beach, and the best part - it was so peaceful (you could hear the waves crashing at night, and if you were on the deck). Sounds made up, but it's all true. If you need to relax and rejuvinate - this is the home for you!

Serene Maine Vacation Seaside

We stayed in this wonderful Comfortable Cape Neddick, Maine home overlooking the beautiful ocean. Just hearing the waves crashing against the rocks and the fresh clean air was just the best! This experience was so nice for us both during the month of September and would definitely make plans to go back again.It was so quiet and peaceful with such a beautiful setting and seeing the family of deer walking in the back yard in the late afternoon was a sight to see. Beach house

Beautiful home. Enjoyed our stay. Cyn a great help. Just 2 things...need another towel rack in both bathrooms and a mirror over the dresser in the downstairs bedroom. Otherwise, all was great!

HEAVEN

An immaculate house in a spectacular setting, the photos don't capture how lovely this home is. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give it a 12! The minute you walk through the front door you know you're on vacation. Walls of glass, lots of natural sunlight,comfortable furnishings with a cottage flair, wonderful oversized deck with panoramic views of the ocean and salt marsh, truly make this a special spot. At night we fell asleep to the sound of bull frogs, geese, and the roar of the not to distant ocean. Heaven!

Beautiful home with amazing views

This lovely home was very welcoming, clean, and tidy when we arrived. While the photos and descriptions of this house and property are helpful and very accurate, nothing quite prepares you for the experience of being in this beautiful environment with its exquisite views. There's something new to see from every room and every angle. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful homes to admire on our daily walks on the dirt roads with our dog. We very much enjoyed our time here and hope to return on another vacation.
