About this property
Centrally Located In The Middle of Waco!
This home was newly renovated in 2010. This ranch style, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is well appointed with vintage, antique furniture and glassware, yet has all the modern conveniences. Custom maple cabinets, granite counter tops, and new appliances give the kitchen it's clean & modern look. Red Oak custom cabinets in the master bath/sitting area gives a rich, warmth & comfortable feeling. It's backyard contains flower gardens, a sitting area and a creek that separates it from Baylor's, Floyd Casey Stadium. A large pecan tree graces the front yard in which Cardinals, Doves, Blue Jays and other birds come to feed. The front garden adds charm, warmth and a country feel to the property. Centrally located off of Valley Mills drive, restaurants, theaters and entertainment are all just minutes away. Just down the block is Baylor's Track and Field complex, at the other end of the block is a newly formed park for Floyd Casey Stadium. Come and enjoy this restful spot in the heart of Waco

About the host
Hosted by John & Kathy Haley
We have the best of both worlds, a home in Alaska and one in Texas. We love to travel with family as well as get away to a secluded place just to be with each other. Our Waco home is a wonderful place to do both,
Why they chose this property
We inherited this property from my husbands Father. We so love Waco that we have kept it. Recently, we completely renovated this home, adding AC, new wiring as well as internet and cable connections. Beautifully handcrafted maple cabinets now grace the kitchen. When we finished, we so loved the result, we wanted to be able to spend time there ourselves. We decided to rent it out in a different manner, so we could take advantage of staying there when we visited Texas and share the comfort of our home with others, when we are not able to be there.
What makes this property unique
This home is decorated in vintage and antique furniture, giving it a homey but comfortable feel. Many of the items displayed are from Alaska or Waco history.
The woodwork on the cabinets and in the living room was hand crafted and added in 2010. We leave a guitar for our guests to use.
On the front porch sits a small pew that JA Haley sat on when awaiting to speak at his last church assignment. We love to sit there drinking our morning libation, and at times listening to the rain hit the aluminum awning.
When we return home to the Haley House, it never ceases to amaze me how centrally located it is, and how easy it is to navigate to any area of Waco.
