Really enjoyed our stay. This was our second visit, and it’s an excellent place to relax and recharge. The quaint, minimalist atmosphere is refreshing.
We stayed June 24/27, 2024. We were there to watch our grandson play baseball at Cooperstown Dream park. This little cottage was just perfect for us. Great, quiet location away from the crowds and only 15 minutes from the park. Highly recommend!!
Stayed here with my family while my son and husband stayed in the barracks. 10 minute easy drive to dreams park, beautiful serene setting which was nice to come back to after a long busy day at the fields. We had a great time.

Our host was wonderful!! The property was great and we had. Great time.
Although it wasn’t me who stayed, my husband and my two brothers reported that it was the perfect property to stay at for the length of the tournament. Everything was just clean and easy to deal with and only 10 minutes from the park. Thank you so much for making this a memorable and easy trip for them!
Thank you so much, Vanessa & Colton, for hosting us! We made so many special memories with our family in your quiet and beautiful space. The home and property were the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. We explored the rail tracks, rented a boat for the day at Sam Smith's Boatyard, and wrapped up our evenings by the outdoor fire pit making s’mores. The grill came in handy for family meals, and we absolutely loved the grounds—both inside and out. It was the perfect blend of comfort and nature. We truly appreciated every detail!
The owner lives nearby and stopped in to see if we needed anything then gave us our privacy the rest of the time. It is a quiet, country location about 15 minutes from downtown Cooperstown. We enjoyed the morning sun on the front porch with wildflowers all around. Our only suggestion would be adding reading lamps in bedrooms and the living room.
We have stayed here 2 years in a row while our kids play at Cooperstown Dreams Park. It’s only about an 8 minute drive and super easy to get back and forth. We love staying here for all the space we have! Everything we need is here! Hosts are always very responsive. We’ll be back!
Vanessa had everything ready for us including some food and essentials. Our stay could not have been better or more pleasant. It was a short drive from Dreams Park which was essential to our needs. 100% pleased and satisfied
We were in town for Dreams park baseball and this was the perfect place! Location from the field was just under 10 minutes. It accommodated 6 adults and 2 kids perfectly! We absolutely loved this place! Vanessa was wonderful to work with. She was quick to respond and even let us stay an additional night. Highly recommend
The property and home is beautiful and perfectly met our need to visit and slow down in the beautiful Cooperstown area. The central location is ideal for visiting the surrounding area’s activities and attractions. The house is very spacious and very clean. and is equipped with the essentials; including the kitchen, so that we can cook when we wanted. Vanessa, our host was very responsive to questions and requests. Consider participating in a baby goat yoga session which Vanessa also leads - the experience is fun and relaxing! We were very fortunate to find this property and to meet Vanessa.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It was truly a pleasure to host you. Your appreciation for the area and the home was felt. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay — and the baby goat yoga too! You’re welcome back anytime — the goats would love to see you again! 🐐💛
We loved this property. It is a quaint house with a lot of character. My husband loved to sit on the porch and listen to the birds’ morning chorus. We were visiting for youth baseball and it was a short drive from the fields, which was very convenient during rain delays! The owners found out my son (and husband) were into collecting pins and left some a special ones on the porch for us one night! We would totally recommend this rental.
Vanessa and Colton are amazing hosts. My father and I love their property…It’s beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for while my son was playing for the week at Cooperstown All-Star Village. We were just under 20 minutes from the complex and had plenty of time in between games to head to the house to cool off and enjoy the peace and quiet the property has to offer.
The ease of check-in/check-out process made the trip all the more enjoyable. We even had the pleasure of meeting the both of them.
Highlight of the trip, joining Vanessa for her Goat Yoga….SUCH AN EXPERIENCE!

About the host
Hosted by Vanessa
Hi! I’m from Long Island, NY, and now happily call Central New York home. I work at NY Goat Yoga, where I get to combine the calming benefits of yoga with the joy and laughter of animal therapy—yes, baby goats included! I love being a host because I enjoy creating a space where others can relax, reconnect, and feel at home. Sharing that experience with guests is truly rewarding.
Why they chose this property
I chose Hartwick because, quite simply, it's the heart of Otsego County. Here, you get the peace and beauty of country living, with quick and easy access to the vibrant small-town charm of Cooperstown and the college-town energy of Oneonta. It’s the best of both worlds—tranquil and convenient.
What makes this property unique
What makes my property unique? It’s simple. And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need—a quiet place to recharge, reflect, and just enjoy life’s little pleasures.
