About this property

Longview Cottage with views to compliment its name and close to cooperstown

This is a new home built 15 years ago it is fully furnished with new furniture. It sits on 5 acres. If you like to Hike, there is a local trail 1.5 miles away (Texas school house walking trail) and 10 miles away is gilbert lake State Park with plenty of trails and a Lake and beach. There is no hunting on the property but you can also visit any of the local state parks for that. In the winter you can ride snowmobile or cross-country ski. There are several golf coarse within 15 min of the property. If you just want to relax and take in the views you wont be disappointed . There is fire place inside . There are plenty of outdoor activities with several lakes near by for fishing and boating . If you like beer and wine their is also several wineries and brewery in the area. If you are here for the baseball camps they are both 20 to 25 min away.

We absolutely loved our stay!! Check in was seamless and you cannot beat the views!! Beautiful sunsets on the back deck! The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was the perfect location for our day trips or just to stay in and relax. Highly recommend for a quick or extended stay!

The house was perfect. The location was amazing. They had a fully stocked kitchen with everything needed and then some. When we arrived I was so excited to be greeted with the cows next door. The view from the front porch was gorgeous. It’s so far away from other houses that we didn’t hear a sound. Definitely plan to return again hopefully in the spring!

My husband and I stayed at Longview Cottage for a work trip. It was just as described, very clean and the views are indeed beautiful! The check process was easy and everything we needed to know about our stay was very clearly available. Richard made sure we knew he was available if we needed him but we didn’t have any questions or problems during our stay. We visit the area often for work and will definitely try to stay again. Maybe we will even come for a pleasure visit and just enjoy the fantastic views from the deck. It’s a great place to watch the sunset.

I grew up nearby in the town of Springfield Center in 1985 I enlisted in the Navy and served 6yr and was aboard the USS Silverside (SSN(679) in 1991 I moved to San Diego to work on Submarines . As I came home for visits I missed the beautiful landscape and outdoor activities Upstate NY has to offer so in 2000 I moved back home and started my own contracting business that I am still doing today

Why they chose this property

I built this house in 2006 for a customer in 2012 he moved and I purchased the home because it borders my property and I wanted to help my daughter get into a home

What makes this property unique

The views the rolling hills and the peace and quite . The only thing that should startle you out here is the wildlife I have been all over the country and I still believe that this is one of the most beautiful place I have ever been.
