Your Left Bank Hideaway
Right in the center of Paris, this well-equipped studio apartment is an easy walk to a host of historical sites as well as numerous shops and restaurants. It faces a quiet courtyard and has a collection of guidebooks, plus free phone calls to the U.S. and Canada. In two words: convenience and access. The atmosphere is far more relaxed than on the Right Bank. A real find!
Quiet because the flat faces into a quiet courtyard. Furnishings and details are high-quality. Would come again. (The freezer needs defrosting. Also, maybe there no bathroom fan? Finally, the light in the kitchen didn't work, or we didn't find the lightswitch. But the place is so small there was no problem with getting enough light elsewhere.)
This is a great apartment a stone's throw from the Seine, a block from the best tea shop in Paris, less than a km from Notre Dame, and the Metro station is about a block away and on major RER lines. Enter from the bustling street that runs along the Left Bank of the Seine, and then enjoy the quiet of the courtyard within. Apartment windows open onto the courtyard. A quiet oasis. The apartment is cozy, but did not feel small thanks to very high ceilings and the huge window looking into the courtyard garden. No problems with the washing machine. Shower/bathroom all good. Kitchen is okay for a quick meal (no convection oven). Lots of restaurants nearby. Best market we found was about a 10-minute walk from the apartment, but there are a some smaller, closer markets. Beds--including the fold out--were comfy and clean. Floors are solid. We heard no noise from the neighbors' apartments through the walls--only the occasional patter of feet on the staircase outside. Very pleased.
Secret little gem in the 6th
This is hands-down one of my favorites in Paris. The location is central (for my needs) and an easy starting/ending point on foot or by public trans (Saint-Michel Notre-Dame metro and RER station is down the street and several other metro stations are just a short walk). The flat is tucked away in the back of the building in a quiet courtyard - a little gem hidden from the daily grind of Paris. It's clean and stocked with an adequate amount of daily essentials (so you don't need to run out and purchase extras). Check-in//Check-out was simple and J-Noel easy to communicate with (that said, nothing went wrong during my stay). I felt spoiled with space and loved the floor-to-ceiling windows. Would stay here again!
Great location close to St. Michel
Great location close to St. Michel RER and St. Michel Metro stops. Notre Dame and St. Chapelle are within easy walking distance. Area is very busy as can be imagined so close to famous sites, but the apartment is very quiet. Windows open into a courtyard which is very peaceful. We felt extremely safe while staying there. The apartment is small, but the photos reflect the size of the apartment correctly. There is a large closet for hanging clothes, several drawers, and cabinets to place your belongings.
This apartment was so conveniently located. Metro, Note Dame, the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens and many more site's were a short walk away. Check in went smooth and apartment was clean and comfortable. It was a bit tight with two adults and two teenager's, but doable because we were out most of the day. We really enjoyed our stay there!
