Relaxing Pool Home on Open Gulf with Fantastic Panoramic View

Our home in Marathon at M.M.51, is located in a tropical setting on the open gulf surrounded by lush palms. Marathon is home to world class fishing and diving. Our home has a 50' slip and 60' of dockage out front to accommodate most size boats.

Brand new flooring and salt water pool added late 2025. Pool can be heated or chilled for $150 additional a week.

The master bedroom has a king bed with a view and a nice breeze off the water. The second and third bedroom each have queen beds with a shared jack and Jill bathroom.

There is plenty of room to relax or entertain downstairs with multiple seating areas, dining, bar, TV with full bath and is totally screened.

Pets are allowed, $75 non refundable fee

We spent 3 months at this location and enjoyed every minute of the stay. The property is very well kept indoors and outdoors. The house (kitchen, bathrooms) contains everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The deck, pool and screened in downstairs area allow outdoor access at all times. John is an excellent host and very responsive to all requests. We also learned there is lots to do in the greater Marathon area once you get off the main highway (Rt. 1). We highly recommend this property to future visitors. P.S. Don't forget to bring your boat. A boat slip and supporting facilities are also available on the property.

Great location right on the Gulf and the house is great with the large, screened downstairs area and the big upstairs balcony. The downstairs bath is real convenient. I definitely recommend this home.

Christmas in the Keys

Our first trip to the Keys. The house was easy to find and check-in was trouble-free. We found the house clean and comfortable, and really enjoyed the big main room upstairs. The fenced yard was great for our dogs, and we enjoyed fishing and kayaking right off the concrete dock.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay. We very much enjoyed the water scenery from the back deck. The house was very nice, with many updates. We did have an issue with a leak under the kitchen sink. Host was contacted and it was fixed the next day. The only complaint was the sewage smell from the sea grass in the boat slip.

Beautiful property!

We loved staying here! The house was spotless and well stocked. Manatees came to visit and we spotted somes dolphins. Couldn't have asked for a better experience... the owner called us to make sure all was well. They also responded to emails right away and were very pleasant and accessible. Marathon home

The homes location is great. The weather was cold and windy during our stay so we were unable to enjoy the outdoor areas as much as we would like to have. Manatees came right up to the seawallbehind the house which was really cool.

We loved the house! The noise from the planes overhead is a little loud sometimes (not at night), but otherwise, very relaxing. Right on the water and the view is spectacular. The beds and other furniture are very comfortable. The inside is very up to date. The owners are quick with communication. We would stay again. 5/5

Great stay in Marathon

This home is located right on the gulf. We enjoyed the view, and especially the manatees that visited. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. We walked our dog and always felt safe. Met some nice neighbors. The hosts are easy to work with. We will rent again, and would recommend this home to friends and family.

This house was perfect. The house was tastefully decorated with all the amenities. The Downstairs screened area was perfect for Dive and fishing gear. Bait freezer, water hoses were strategically placed. Boat launch was 3 minutes from the house. Awesome host.

Florida Keys

I booked this for my husband and adult children. We’d never been to the Keys before and Marathon looked like a great place to start. We were not disappointed! We found LOTS to do there and went to Key West for a day. House was clean and beds were comfortable. Was a little disappointed not to find any beach towels in the house, Walgreens nearby had some.

I bought six beach towels and put them in the laundry room. They keep disappearing. Guest must be taking them home or leaving them on their boat. It was a good idea.

One of the Best!

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. I can't say enough about it. The location, the cleanliness & condition of the property, the amenities, the comfort of the beds and living areas, the ease of checking in & out... I could go on with all the little things that made this house one of the very best of many we've rented. Our favorite things about it were the fenced backyard that sits directly on the water, facing the gulf and the enormous screened in living area under the house. If I were to add anything at all it would be a hammock or something to nap on down there :) It's a very easy place to relax, as the breeze is always coming through the gated entrance to that space and you're gazing out over the beautiful open seas! Also, Sandra was very kind and accommodating when we had to make a couple of changes to our reservation... we hope to stay again real soon!

Not happy

The property is very comfortable but the cleaning part is like they didn’t even cleaned it full of dog hairs the vacuum is broken they left a lil garbage bad n front of the door and a dirty white cooler on the back the door handles were loose we fixed it I don’t have enough space to write everything wrong with it the property it self is beautiful but it needs more cleaning literally deep cleaning that’s what I do for a leaving and if I would had left a property just half as dirty as that property I would had been fire on the spot

Dear Zoe, we are so sorry that the cleaning service did not do their job. As we don't live local we depend on them doing a good job which is usually the case. Unfortunately, this time was the exception. I have sent them a copy of your review and put them on notice that this is not acceptable. I wish you would have let us know at the beginning of your stay so would could have had them come there immediately and do a proper job. Once again we are so sorry.

My husband and I grew up in Florida. We both love being around water. As our family grew we found Marathon to be the perfect place to vacation with the kids. We would always look forward to boating, fishing, and snorkeling around the reefs in the Keys.

Our vacation home is centrally located in the Florida Keys. World class fishing and diving. Marathon has an airport and hospital. Plenty of fine restaurants with fresh seafood and tropical open air bars.
