• 3 comfortable bedrooms that can sleep 6 easily (2 queen beds, 1 double bed). Sofa bed is located in the living room downstairs (sleeps 2). An extra foam mattress in the closet. One portable playpen for infant/baby use.
• Kitchen includes fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, built-in dishwasher, and everything else you need for cooking.
• Large fully fenced backyard with tall walnut and maple trees to provide ample shade.
• Front veranda overlooking small park bounded by tall trees.
• Original gingerbread woodwork on the back veranda furnished with a dinette set great for your morning coffee or afternoon tea.
• The living room is tastefully decorated to provide a comfortable place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Watch TV or relax with a DVD.
• 2 full clean bathrooms, one upstairs, one downstairs.
• Towels and linens are all supplied.
• This is a children-friendly house with a complimentary highchair and portable playpen.

Quiet and convenient house near the falls

We had a wonderful long weekend here with our two kids and another couple. The house was spotlessly clean and the lovely original woodwork and details made it a very charming and cozy place to stay. We enjoyed being away from the busy-ness of the downtown area, but within an easy walk to get there. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the dishes, pans and utensils needed to eat meals at home a few times too. We also found some delicious international food options near the house, like Dosa Twist and the wonton soup (and donuts!) at Country Fresh Donuts. Will definitely recommend to friends and will return if we’re in the area again!

Great stay

Cooper penny house had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was well stocked for meals and the house had beautiful charm. Close to the falls , and excellent quick communication with the owners ,we will recommend this home for our friends and family

Why they chose this property

The Hawley House as it is called, built in 1893 was owned by the same family until 1985 with largely no alterations leaving the valuable vintage woodwork intact. Since 2004, besides updating all wiring & plumbing, upstairs flooring and installed period (1920's style) crystal chandeliers in all rooms together with walls and ceilings to match.
