About this property

Lucky Lunar Cabin at Riverside Farm

Drive along the bucolic Pigeon River up to this luxurious cabin with beautiful views of local mountain ranges. It is full of rustic and modern touches and is surrounded by wildlife. The deck has an unspoiled view overlooking the mountains. Kitchen is supreme with butternut walnut cabinets and high end appliances. Bedrooms are quaint, quiet and restful. Bathroom has a luxurious walk in shower.

This is one of two adjoining cabins, although proximal, allows for amazing privacy.

With panoramic views of the mountains you won't want to leave. A mature private woodland provides a backdrop for all the windows inside the cabin.
Go outside on the deck to enjoy both ends of your day with the sweeping mountain view. Outside you can grill up your favorite meal or relax by the fire pit. Great place to have coffee or a cocktail. You can watch wildlife from your living room and bedroom windows, such as pheasants, woodpeckers, red squirrels, deer, and many varieties of song birds. So lots to explore right on property site. Hiking trails are on site, and biking and fishing are available by the river within walking distance.

Excellent sightseeing and activities that are in the vicinity can easily be done with day trips to the following: For a relaxed couples retreat in a mountain setting, head to the small city of Asheville in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Explore the historical small town of Waynesville or head to Asheville with the grandiose Biltmore Estate or choose from many fantastic restaurants and local breweries in the area.

Explore the many local outdoor activities all less than 30 minutes away: Ski and snowboard at Cataloochee Ski Resort. Hike along nearby Max Patch, widely acclaimed as the most scenic part of the Appalachian Trail. Watch elk in Cataloochee Valley. Drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and explore the waterfalls and nature trails. Fish, boat, or picnic at Lake Junaluska. It’s a nature lover’s Paradise.

Note: Two houses on property, completely private from each other. Separate outdoor areas, units not visible to each other. Only place you might encounter other guests would be in the driveway or in the shared laundry room building. For a larger group, both units may be rented simultaneously at discounted rate. This cabin is for a maximum of 2 adults and one child. Must be 25 years or older to book. One dog allowed with pet fee. One car is recommended and preferred. No trailers allowed.

The wi-fi internet is great for every day use. However, because of the privacy and seclusion of the property, work related Zoom and teleconference calls are not operational. As such, we do not recommend work vacations.

Go outside on the deck to enjoy both ends of your day with a sweeping mountain view. Outside you can enjoy grilling up your favorite meal or relaxing by the fire pit. Great place to have coffee or a cocktail.

Relaxing get away
The cabin is beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised in the well stocked kitchen. My favorite part was the coveres deck. I spent most of my time relaxing on the deck with a book. My only negative is the cold bathroom. Beautiful tile but COLD it could use a small heater. I will definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous Cabin
Beautiful cabin with gorgeous views! We had a lovely time and really enjoyed how unique and charming this cabin and space was. The deck and chairs were so nice to use and we even saw some elk. We can't wait to come back!

Unique cabin! Awesome view of the mountains
The cabin was very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Everything was great about the layout. We really liked the unique decorative touches in the cabin. The back deck was incredible! Awesome view! Then at night we had clear sight of the stars in the firepit area. It's about a 10 minute drive to the Haywood Cafe and the Shell station for food and items you might need. About a 20 minute drive to the grocery and downtown Waynesville. Fantastic place. We'll be back.

Perfect mountain getaway
Our experience was perfect beginning to end. The place was spotless and so thoughtfully decorated and stocked. They truly thought of everything. Thom was very responsive and welcoming. The cabin is so nice we ended up staying in a full day. The view from every room is beautiful but the view from the porch at sunset is indescribable, We will surely be back!
