Guests are welcome to use anything in the apartment and have access to all the common areas of the building. No rooftop access is provided.
I like to give my guests space, but I'm always a phone call or text away. I won't leave you hanging if you need anything.
The condo is located in the Picayune Place Historic District, a small rectangular area wedged between the Warehouse District, Canal Street, and French Quarter historic districts in downtown New Orleans. The Picayune Place Historic District is noted for its unparalleled collection of intact 19th century commercial buildings, predominantly in the Greek Revival style.
The French Quarter is a mere two block walk away. The House of Blues, Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden & Insectarium, Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde, Bourbon St., are all within walking distance.
For those interested in French Quarter Fest, Satchmo Fest, or just about any festival located in the FQ or Riverfront, we're as close as you can get without actually being in the FQ. During popular events, your walk back to the condo will probably less time than waiting for an Uber. (I recommend bringing a small collapsible wagon to load your folding chairs and blankets for the walk. Get there early to secure your spots in front of the stages.)
Walk the opposite way, you'll run into the Warehouse District/Arts District with its collection of art galleries, boutiques, bars, clubs, and museums. The popular World War II Museum is a short 10 - 15 minute walk down Magazine St. Try brunch reservations at Meril, grab a iced cold brew and a cup cake at Bittersweet Confections on the way.
If you're coming for Mardi Gras, the parades roll down Canal St and turn a block away from the condo. You won't have to go far to get to the action.
The Garden District & Uptown are easily accessible by streetcar, bus, or Uber.
We're centrally located. Great for leisure tourists or conventioneers, we're close to the Sheraton, Marriott, and Morial Convention Center.
Streetcars, Buses, Ferry, Taxis, Uber/Lyft are easily accessible from the apartment. Pedicabs are always passing in front of the building for those who like a bit more wind in their face.
The Canal St. and St. Charles Streetcar Lines are a short walk away.
Want to catch a bus to check out the boutiques on Magazine St? The bus stop is on the corner.
Want to catch a Ferry across the Mississippi River and check out historic Algiers Point? A leisurely stroll to the Ferry Terminal is all that's required.
Taxis are plentiful. Uber/Lyft wait times are usually under two minutes.
Bicycle rentals and Segway tours are right outside the door.
I recommend bringing a comfortable pair of shoes. It's much easier to walk especially during busy festivals/events.
Driving in? We don't have on-site parking, but numerous parking lots dot the neighborhood.
You are in the core of the city, a few blocks from the French Quarter, there is always the potential for street noise.
