Bar Harbor House is a newly built, spacious retreat perfectly positioned at the edge of downtown. Close enough to enjoy everything yet tucked away for peaceful relaxation. In just five minutes, you can be at Acadia National Park’s entrances, the Carriage Roads, or the waterfront. Eagle Lake Road is known for frequent Bald Eagle sightings, and Peregrine Falcons nest nearby, adding a touch of wild Maine magic to your stay. Right across the street sits historic Kebo Valley Golf Course, the 8th oldest golf course in the United States, where traces of its history are still beautifully preserved. With parking for two to three vehicles, you can skip the hunt for downtown spaces and meter fees. There is secure storage space available for bikes, kayaks, fishing gear, golf equipment, and more. Bar Harbor House comfortably hosts up to eight guests and is designed for families and friends to gather, unwind, and make new and lasting memories. My family has been native to the island for six generations, and we love sharing the local history, stories, and hidden gems of Acadia. Among our family’s lightkeepers were Jaurel and Nana Belle Pinkham, who tended Egg Rock Light at the entrance to Bar Harbor. If you are curious about special spots or local secrets, we are always happy to share. Our home is more than a place to stay, it is a special place for family and friends to enjoy the true Bar Harbor experience.
