About this property

This home is approximately 6500 sqft with 5 bedrooms, 4 full & 2 half baths. The home includes an expansive kitchen with island and seating for 12, a formal dining, a dedicated office, exercise room off master, media room that seats 15 comfortably, a wet bar with additional fridges and dishwasher, smart tvs in every bedroom, 2.2 acres of expansive gardens, a pool, hot tub, and a fire pit. We are conveniently located 4 miles from Old Mckinney, less than two miles from the Allen Event Center. We are a 35 minute drive to downtown Dallas. All photographed spaces are exclusive to renters, but Owners maintain private use of attached guest house and garage.

Absolutely Fantastic

Wonderful home, plenty of space. Tons to do, and relaxing. We enjoyed it so much and our hosts were gracious and readily available next door, though not at all intrusive. It was perfect!

Amazing Stay

We rented this house for the weekend of my son's wedding. We were so impressed with Barbara's thoughtfulness and thoroughness. We discovered little extras throughout the house that were both unexpected but much appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Larkspur. It was beautiful and relaxing. The pool is gorgeous and the theater room and ping pong table added a fun level of enjoyment for the entire group. Thanks again Fowlers for allowing us to enjoy your home

Wow!!

Amazing property!! Everything you could possibly want is here. The hosts have thought of everything. The pool was great! The movie room was a big hit. Plenty of space for people to move around. If you're headed to Dallas, this is the place to stay. Wonderful hosts!

About the host

Your host

We bought this 8700 sqft home in 2011 when our six children were small. We once had 14 people living here full time, and it never even felt crowded! We have hosted a 50 year anniversary party with 25 family members sleeping in every nook and cranny, and there was space for everyone, We've had graduation parties, Easter parties, and super bowl events. Now that our children are all out of the nest, we have decided to move into the attached guest house and rent the remaining 6500 sqft of our beloved family home to other families who can enjoy it.

Why they chose this property

We bought this house as a foreclosure at the peak of the mortgage crisis. It had been empty for over two years, and it was a mess! the toilets didn't flush, almost every square inch was sponge painted, and the light fixtures were all missing. We have restored every inch, remodeled every bathroom, tore down some walls, and painted almost every surface, (many of them twice!)
