It was the view and privacy we were looking forward to. the home was clean and equipped nicely. It was a very nice vrbo stay. And we would stay there again! our stay was may 12 thru may 15 2026
This was an ideal property for our Round Top week! Comfortable, clean and easy. Stocked with everything we needed. The host was easy to communicate with and made entry smooth.
Great cabin an a small lake that was great for fishing! Clean, had everything you’d need for a week and the location was fun in between Smithville and Bastrop. We had a great time!
We stayed for a weekend at this cute cabin because we were going to the Winter Show in Round Top which was about a 25 minute drive. It was very homey, comfortable and clean. Perfect for a couple or small family wanting to relax away from the city. We enjoyed our stay & the host was very quick to get back with me when we had a question about check in
The cabin is cozy but old and rustic. Good size for our small family. Shame that there isn’t a dock to fish off, or a kayak, or seats to sit by the lake and enjoy the view. Lots of critters. Handy to La Grange and Round Top.
We loved this cabin. It had everything we needed for our first Christmas family vacation. I searched for a place that was both rustic and modern, somewhere our kids could unplug and enjoy the outdoors. When we arrived, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the moment we stepped inside, we fell in love. We’re true city folks, so this was a refreshing change. The kids enjoyed every moment. I was able to do my Bible study on the porch overlooking the lake and even found quiet time to work on my book and dissertation. The neighborhood was peaceful, and the friendly drive‑bys made us feel the community looks out for one another. This trip will go down in our family history. Thank you for sharing Gran’s Cabin with us. May God bless you.
It was a great weekend for a getaway. The house was comfortable but there were a lot of dead roaches due to a recent extermination. I think the house should have been checked prior to our arrival and cleaned them up. A few live ones popped up during our stay. The outside needs a little TLC. The deck over lake and handrails on stairs need repairs. We enjoyed hanging in the house and shopping and eating in Round Rock and LaGrange.

Yes maam, the backyard stairs have been fully replaced and, with this heat, the landscaping is suffering. We're so sorry about that. The pest control is also a top priority and we have inside and outside treatment monthly. Thank you so much for your feedback. We appreciate it!
