Nice property in a beautiful location. The property management was very responsive to enquiries. Some dirty clothes were left by the previous tenet and not picked up by the cleaning staff. A few dishes were not properly cleaned.
Such a great location, walking distance to Canyon Lodge (although you may not want to walk while carrying skis). Served our needs perfectly well. Would definitely stay here again.

So happy with walking distance to Canyon Lodge. Great space and layout. Only small downside was mediocre internet but some could see that as a positive.

Excellent location, clean, just a few issues
Clean, spacious, perfect for our family! However significantly lacking in many basic amenities. Only 1 wine glass, no oven mitts, only 1 small rusty baking sheet, no serving utensils, needed more towels and towels for the jacuzzi (there were none). We followed the instructions to use the Nest but even when turning all the thermostats to 50 degrees, the condo remained very hot. We had to open all the windows and door to get some relief. Wi-Fi was insufficient. We couldn’t connect any devices (phone, TV, or laptop) to the Wi-Fi network. We could not get the TV to work until our last night. We followed the posted instructions to call and seek assistance and were referred to the front desk of the condo complex. The front desk said they were not able to assist with Wi-Fi and TV issues. We loved the location, condo layout, and three bathrooms, but we would not rent again.

We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with.
Unfortunately, this guest never contacted our office to give us an opportunity to correct any of these issues. If you have trouble during your stay, I encourage you to contact your VR manager while you are in the property, as they may well be prepared to handle your concerns. We have 18 full time staff members in our housekeeping, maintenance and guest services departments who we can call upon to resolve problems. If this happens, or if you are concerned about problems with a unit you are considering, please call our offices at Mammoth Five Star Lodging. We have staff available by phone or email, 7 days/week, 9am-6pm (Pacific) to ensure you book exactly the property you want and to address issues that may come up during your stay. We are happy to help if you will just give us the chance.
Mammoth Lakes is a small (4 square miles), rural town of just 7000 permanent residents. Our town receives Internet service over one of just two fibre-optic trunks and the available bandwidth to the town as a whole is based on that small population. On busy weekends we can get up to 40,000 visitors and everyone in town must share the same Internet trunk. Mammoth's rural Internet service works just like old style cable Internet- it slows down when all the neighbors use it at once. We are unable to improve Internet speeds as we are not the provider, just a customer for another company's product. We do require property owners to purchase high speed Internet with minimum speeds sufficient for streaming, but when competing with the neighbors, there is nothing we can do.
Thanks so much for staying with Mammoth Five Star Lodging! We hope you will think of us again for your next visit!

Great location with a few shortcomings
You can’t ask for a better location with easy, walkable access to Canyon Lodge. The parking is convenient & the condo was comfortable for a group of 6; we enjoyed the fireplace & large kitchen table and living room to share meals and play board games. The view from the sunroom was amazing with direct line of sight to the mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub & sauna access as well. They provide a tablet for check-in with property information as well as a very extensive check-in document. It was a lot to read through and there was conflicting information on the tablet and the check in document such as Internet login info where it was listed differently. It took some troubleshooting to figure out which network credentials to use to get connected to wifi. There was one single coffee filter for a group of 6 staying three nights so we had to scrounge and ended up using paper towels for coffee filters. The lower bunk bed mattress was so uncomfortable that the person who slept on it the first night wanted to move to the sofa bed. We folded out the sofa bed and there were dirty sheets on the mattress plus it looked like the couch cushions hadn’t been moved or vacuumed all winter with crumbs and dirt. She ended up sleeping on top of the couch instead. And lastly, while we enjoyed the hot tub, it was quite dirty with a ring of dark grime at the water line and lots of floaters including a toenail and lots of long hair.I would definitely stay at 1849 Condos again but not in this unit.
