Huge dining room with sky mural ceiling! 10 person farmhouse style dining table, matching hutch. Built in bar for every cocktail or aperitif style beverage you're classy dinner hosting can surmise - complete with multiple 60's style decanters.
Event room / study yields a very relaxing mountain themed space with leather couch and reading chairs. Enjoy one of the many books in our seasonally rotating house book library while gazing at the Mount Rainier or St. Helen's (pre-explosion) photography. Kids play kitchen and many construction trucks/toys for the imagination enthusiasts - young and old. Queen sized cabinet bed is also in this room - the bed can be unlocked, assembled and made for your downstairs sleeping needs - please just be sure to request the cabinet bed use upon booking your stay / prior to check-in.
There are two large parking spaces accessible via the alley - with enough room for 2-4 cars depending if the (covered) owners car is parked in the first space. There is also plenty of free parking in front of the house. The back yard hosts a huge 12' x 10' cedar gazebo with LED string lights, a propane gas fireplace (with fire shield-guard), 4 custom made cedar Adirondack chairs, children's chairs and gravel sand toys. Enjoy a cold beverage while grilling some of Taylor Shellfish's local delicacies on the gas bbq!
The front door takes you directly to the large cedar front porch. Enjoy your morning coffee while kicking back in the dual teak loveseats while overlooking the diverse flora in the front yard and the mountain peaks while gazing out east.
The 2nd floor has the "Young at Heart" room directly to the right. Here you will find a full over full bunk bed with a memory foam mattress on the bottom bunk. 300lb weight limit for each top and bottom bunk beds. Turn on the LED-color changing ceiling fan while doing some homework on the antique desk or 50's classic classroom chairs. The room has two large, east-facing windows which illuminate an oversized Washington census map from the 1930's along with a pre-WWII schematic of the globe's energy and fuel cycle between carbon, the earth and sun. A 48" wall mounted 4K Smart TV can facilitate any of your favorite educational, or child-friendly streaming services. A changing table-dresser is under the TV and you can find children's toys and a pack n' play in the closet.
The "Columbia" room (the district the home is in) is at the end of the hall. The fir floors and 50's chandelier meet you upon entry, with the single window illuminating the spring-memory foam queen bed lined with matching end tables. Kick back and watch a flick on the 50" wall mounted 4K Smart TV or utilize the leather-lined desk to get some work done.
The master bedroom has a queen sized memory foam mattress, 3 oak and cedar dressers, a large modern desk, ceiling fan, dual external monitors and a leather recliner in the reading nook and electric blackout curtains! A newly remodeled full bathroom (subway tile & vanity mirror) is attached to the master bedroom.
On the other side of the room is stair access to the huge 3rd floor game & 4th bedroom! Find a 50's style Formica table complete with kids table, games, cribbage boards and poker chips. Grab a cold beverage from the mini fridge! Two full-sized bed-convertible leather couches line both sides of the room with a XXL bean bag chair between them. The room is decorated with modern Mariokart framed pictures and old 60's postcards sent from a Bellingham local while traveling around the world! Mariokart and 007 James bond are there to play on N64 (4 controllers) along with virtually every 8bit NES game on a separate system.
