The cabin was great. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood. The house was in great shape and the owner communicated well with us. One helpful hint: the AC worked so great that if you go in the summer I would bring a jacket or sweatshirt for when you use the game room in the basement.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cabin is situated in a peaceful setting, that is just a short drive to activities. If you are looking to enjoy the Smokey Mountains without the carnival/circus like atmosphere that is now Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, this is the perfect place! We were able to quickly get to all the attractions, but retreat at days end to quiet tranquility. .

We stayed for a week, the house was exactly as pictured. Sheets and towels were fresh and clean. Hot tub was great after hiking! Located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of privacy and easy access to Smoky Mountain trails, plus it's just a short drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Breakfast at Elvira's is DELICIOUS. Our host was quick to respond to any questions. The little IGA grocery store in Townsend had everything we needed, and there are helpful people across the street at the Townsend visitor center if you want hiking and/or activity suggestions. Highly recommend this vacation rental!

Very nice place

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Cabin was very clean and easily accessible. The check-in process could not have been easier. Checkout easy also. We have stayed and Wears Valley many times and find it to be an ideal place to base out of. Cabin was very well appointed with big screen TV throughout.

A Quiet Gem

My family of 5, (youngest being 16), found this cabin to be quite comfortable and well-appointed. We enjoyed the quiet, as it is about 20 minutes from the hustle & bustle of Pigeon Forge's Parkway. We wish the owner all the best in their future rentals.

Close to the park!

We wanted to stay somewhere outside of the craziness of Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. This cabin in the heart of Wears Valley was a perfect fit. Easy to get to the national park but there are also quite a few smaller restaurants and small shopping spots within 15 mins. The house was beautiful and clean. All the beds were very comfortable. The spot was perfect for our family of 6 and I would say we could have easily fit a couple more!

Short Moutain Weekend

My family had the pleasure of staying in this cabin for a three (3) day weekend. It was just the four of us, but we could have easily fit another family. The hot tub was hot and ready to go when we got checked in. My wife had me send a message to the owner as soon as we got settled,and wanted me to let him know how clean the house was. We would absolutely rent this cabin again.

Place was perfect for us

We really loved the location of this cabin!! Townsend, TN (:15 west) was a perfect little town for us. We could fly fish in the morning, enjoy the brewery in the evening and great food! It’s a short trip to Cades cove. We traveled into Gatlinburg and pigeon forge one day, it’s a decent little trek from there but, to be honest, we weren’t impressed so unless that’s your thing, I wouldn’t bother. However, if you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay with coffee, nature and great food nearby, this could be your spot. The pool table and hot tub downstairs were a great addition for our family of 5.

We are two high school sweethearts with a young daughter that are natives of East Tennessee. In this area, we are blessed to have many of the activities that we love including white water rafting, rock climbing, hiking, and loads of areas to have a night on the town!

Why they chose this property

My wife and I are locals of the area and have always loved escaping out to the Smokies with our families. This cabin is our way of spreading our love of the area to others.
Additionally, this specific cabin is off the road far enough such that you can relax in nature out on the large deck, but you can also reach hiking trails, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, or Townsend with just a quick drive.
