Originally an Inn, this is now a large waterfront home on a peaceful island
This is a large waterfront home on the peaceful island of Vinalhaven, Maine. Guests love the large sunporch as well as the hiking within steps at Lanes Island Preserve. Walk to town in just minutes. We are pet friendly but we do ask our guests to leave the property as clean as possible.
Take the Ferry from Rockland to Vinalhaven. The home is on the water just a short walk from the Ferry.
Also note that this is a "3 season cottage" with no central heat. This is why it's only available for rent during late spring and summer, when the temperature is perfect from the ocean breeze.

This home is perfect for a couple, family, reunion or large group. There is lots to do on the island of Vinalhaven: swim in the quarries, hike on the many trails, paddleboard on the calm bay...just outside your front door. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the supplies you need to create your perfect lobster boil.
