This property works perfectly for us when we come into town to visit family. The house is clean and full of amenities and the hosts are very responsive. We have stayed here now twice and have a great time both times! Thank you for being wonderful hosts!
We had the best time here. Very close to stores, beaches and anything else you might need. The house was very clean and smelled amazing. Communication with host was very easy and fast responses. We had no issues. Thank you so much for hosting us, we look forward to hopefully coming back in the future!
Well overall it was a great experience and id rent the property again. The price wasnt to outrageous and the property was very delightful. The only hiccup was the hot water was out the first night but the property manager was on top of it and had it back on by the next round of showers..

We are bummed the water heater did that & appreciate your patience while we took care of that. Thanks for the feedback 😀 and we're happy you enjoyed your stay at the cottage.
We had a wonderful time visiting family on a group vacation. The location is quiet and close to stores and Houghton Lake. Really appreciated the air conditioning and how quite it was at night. Our owner responded quickly and was always nice. Only wish there were paper plates or Tupperware for the kitchen. Overall a good VRBO

Thanks for your feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay.
The prior renters were disrespectful and trasyed the place. Upon finding the disaster, the host notified us and put us up in other housing until she could get it clean. She even bought an air mattress for us. She definitely went out of her way!

Thank you Kelli 😊 we really appreciate you and your patience while we worked through that. Guests like you make a hosts job much easier in moments like those.
The area was quiet during our stay and everything is a convenient short drive. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but were fine for our short stay. We had an issue with the water at 5am. The property manager Melissa was quick to respond and was there within a few hours to bring buckets of water for the toilets and fix the problem. Things happen, so we understood. How they handled the situation was great and professional
The house looked clean but when you walked around on the floor your socks and feet turned black and there was dust and everything everywhere. There was not enough toilet paper for eight people with the two night three days day. Also the coffee bar and drinks they said they offered for non-existent. The k-cup coffee that was offered on top of the cupboard, was expired. It says it slept eight however two queens and two twins does not sleep eight people. We had to have somebody sleep on the couch and a recliner. However, it was in a nice area and close to all amenities needed. The backyard was spacious and we enjoyed the fire pit.

Incorrect Information
Check in was listed at 4, but it wasn't ready for us until 7:35. Beds are listed as queen and full beds, they are actually 2 full beds and 2 twin beds. The mattresses were uncomfortable.
Probably won't return to this property.

Below average in Houghton Lake
The bedroom had garbage left on the floor & dresser. Hallway floor is so warped one guest fell into the wall walking to the bathroom. Vacuum cleaner was left out in living room. Dog toys laying in hallway. Wi fi signal was poor. No access to network television stations (streaming only). Owner took over 3 hours to respond to text message with simple question about operating the TV. The neighborhood is very run down. Lake view several houses away at end of street, but no lake access. Positives: newer laminate floors were nice. Bathroom was updated but doesn’t have an exhaust fan. Walls were painted a nice blue color.
