Well appointed oasis in a highly desirable area, close shopping, movies, bowling and other amenities! The decoration and staging is tasteful and everything seemed to tell of a great travel experience, that transported you there! This property was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Well appointed kitchen with everything one might need, plus the best coffee maker I've ever had the pleasure of using. The outdoor spaces, both the covered terrace and deck furniture were great pluses. Very comfortable beds too. Easy access to all points in San Diego and the border and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Close to Costco too which we took advantage of. Would definitely stay there again.

This house is stunning and such a great experience all around. The house was clean and decorated beautifully. The backyard was so serene and relaxing. The little touches Saskia had around the house for our stay made it next level. We appreciated the coffee bar, spices, and laughed when we saw the dozen eggs in the fridge. The bathrooms were stocked and the beds and pillows were nice and cozy. Our stay was so much fun. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip back home.

My family and I were in Town for our Daughters wedding. This home was perfect for our 9 day stay. It has all that you need to have family over to chill and hang out. Plenty of space and close to a park, which we walked to a couple times during the week and close to a super wal mart and costco. Planned a San Diego weekend getaway with my sister, cousin and nieces and we all agreed that this home was the best. Close to all the main attractions we wanted to visit and very quite/safe neighborhood. We loved the warmth felt throughout the home…we were even greeted with snacks 😊. The home is well equipped for all your needs. We enjoyed the fresh fruit provided and how responsive the owner was. The home was as listed. Most interesting home we have rented out of many. The location suited us perfectly as it is quiet and a short drive to San Diego attractions. The communication with Saskia was great. We were very impressed with a binder Saskia has prepared that provided all the details needed for taking full advantage of the home. The kitchen had everything needed. The beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the backyard gardens, sitting area with fire pit, and BBQ. Extra propane tanks were provided, which is not common with rentals. A great stay and we highly recommend this property.

San Diego Birthday Week

The stay was unbelievable. We were amazed about the attention to detail, the cleanliness, response time, comfort of beds, amenities around the house, etc etc. we could go on and on about how marvelous our stay was at this beautiful house. It was by far the most function-able home we have ever stayed in, along with the artsy vibe and all of the above. We were mesmerized from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants a getaway for the weekend or a whole week stay. You are 10-15 mins away from downtown with so much around and no need to even leave the house with everything that is inside of it. Thanks again and will use again when coming back to San Diego.

House looks like typical neighborhood track home. Once inside it is beautifully decorated with lovely and interesting design features. You can really see an artist touch in the home. Welcoming mints waiting for your arrival and any item that you may need during your stay fully stocked. The owner really has thought of everything. From car seats, playpens, child dishware, bath robes, slippers, homemade travel guides and detailed instructions for appliances. I have never had a host that takes this much pride in the home and service. The host is very responsive to all messages and communicates well. She is a model of VRBO should be.

Peaceful home

My niece passed away we live in the central coast my daughter lives in Sacramento so I needed to find a home sad to say but close to mortuary which we found close to Costco walmart other stores etc , but it wasn’t the convince of store but the way the owner accommodated us. Since all my family was going I had to take my 2 English bulldogs which the owner responded no problem , I’m so grateful to her, this was unexpected so I was looking most homes only allow 1 dog under 10 pounds , I asked her if I could bring both dogs she stated of course no problem that was one lest thing I had to worry about , this home is beautiful we’ll kept, amazingly so clean and everything you need is there so relaxing and plenty of space . We will return again on a happier note thank you Zen House your amazing For someone that is looking you won’t be disappointed in staying in this home

As an artist, I like to push the boundaries to create a new world by using unconventional means to present functional and decorative displays. I am a "Creative" that is thrilled about sharing my personal domain and my artwork with you! I see the house as much more than a vacation retreat; I envision it as an Art sanctuary, artist residency and cultural interior. This home has been a labor of love and a design fantasy come true. I sincerely wish for your enjoyment of the space. I grew up internationally, living and traveling around the globe throughout an array of countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the USA. I come from a strong artistic background, all the more strengthened while endlessly influenced by diverse cultures during the course of my travels. My grandmother- a well-known Belgian artist painter inspired me to become who I am today. After high school, I moved to Bordeaux France, studying design and languages. I then had the opportunity to move to the United States and continued studying design in Chicago, graduating with a bachelor’s degree of fine art and interior design at the Harrington Institute of Interior Design. I have years of experience working with both Model home and Retail companies along with a strong history of Customer Experience in the US. 2021-2022- I spent a year remodeling my home solo with the help of Utube :) All my art is my custom creativity to compliment the design of the interior spaces. I am excited to share the design and hospitality experience with my guests and look forward to building deliberate and meaningful friendships.
