The perfect house for our friend group to stay! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Teri and Steve were very responsive when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again! JR, Dante, and the kitty were perfect hosts :)
This house was decorated so cute, and the owners were so kind and responsive to messages. We loved exploring the huge tiered dock and eating dinner with lake views. They had the sweetest little dog that would come check on us throughout the day. They even had a huge pig next door that was so friendly and could be found napping on the driveway. I loved getting to see the animals while relaxing in this beautiful home!
Spacious property with beautiful lake view. Hostess was easily accessible and provided excellent communication. Close access to cute downtown and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!
Visited the Lake with family, 9 of us in total. Had a great time! Place was spacious and clean and comfortable. Spent most time on the dock which was really nice. Would definitely recommend staying here to friends.
We had a wonderful time, from the comfortable beds to the awesome dock! We were able to swim and play all day, and cook all of our meals! Thank you for sharing your home!
This place is incredible. Photos really are spot on!
We loved our stay. The views, the home the location. We stayed with our family. It was really lovely! The spot on the lake, the dock, kayaks, tubes, etc. Our grandkids had a real blast. It was ideal.
We enjoyed our stay and the communication was amazing and so easy. Our family made some great memories together here. The only downfall was we didn’t know by the listing just how far the dock was and with a 2 year old and someone who can’t handle that many stairs over and over it was a little hard for us. The lay out of house was unique and the friendly pig on our porch was a delight for all of us as we left!
The house is lovely, the dock was perfect for us to launch fishing boat from. The hosts were super friendly. And while not mentioned in the listing, there are a pair of very friendly pet pigs that will come visit with you. The whole family loved the pigs! Great stay, great place!
Perfectly placed cottage, sits on a bluff overlooking Lake Granbury.
Home is fully equipped, washer / dryer, fresh towels, toiletries, dishes, etc. Bring food and you’re all set. Really nice to sit on the patio or walk down to the boat dock.
We stayed over a weekend and it was just perfect! 5 adults and one teen. The home was so clean and had everything we needed. The owners were quick to respond if we had any questions. I will for sure book the property again if needed.
We loved every minute! The house and views far exceeded our expectations. Wow! Home was very clean and spacious. It had such thoughtful amenities and was decorated beautifully! We had everything we needed. Great location on the lake with 2-story dock with rope swing, canoes, and paddle board. Owners were so kind and welcoming. The kids made great friends with the cats, dog, and pig :) We loved playing games at the game table, having dinner at the outdoor dining spaces, and roasting s’mores at the fire pit. This all made for a really fun weekend! We’d love to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay! We spent most of our time relaxing on the back patio and boat dock. There It is very peaceful, private and quiet property. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. We really enjoyed seeing the pet pigs and chicken at the front of the property when you drive in. The owners were responsive and a pleasure to work with. We look forward to going back!
We stayed here for Father's Day rather last minute and the hosts could not have been more accommodating. The property is gorgeous, the views spectacular and the hosts have thought about every detai. As well, communication was excellent with the hosts. We asked about propane for the grill and it was literally dropped off in 5 minutes.
We had the most magical weekend and can't wait to go back. I can't say enough great things about this property and the hosts!
This property is beautiful and perfect for large groups! We came with a group of friends, and loved our time here. All of the beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The double-decker dock and all the amenities made the trip our best one yet. There are no fireworks allowed on the property, so heads up on that. But, we watched them from across the lake and it was stunning. Watching the sunset on the dock was breathtaking!
We wanted a place on the water so we could bring our boat and leave it docked. This is the place you want to be for spectacular sunsets, deep water. We probably spent more time swimming and hanging out down on the 2 story boat dock which is huge. The house is large and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. There’s a large back patio that overlooks the lake. The hosts were very accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!
Steve and Teri’s lake house was EXACTLY what we were looking for as we made our annual guys trip to get away for the weekend for some golf and relaxation. You’d be hard pressed to find a better view of the lake (especially with their double decker dock out back that we spent several hours on). You can swim, float, fish and they even have kayaks you can take out in the water. The house layout was perfect with plenty of space to fit 6 guys and the panoramic glass doors gave a great view over the lake to enjoy when it got too hot outside. A stones throw away from Revolver Brewery and a short drive to HEB for any supplies you might need. If you got a group of friends or family looking to get away, you can’t go wrong with staying here!
This was our fourth Thanksgiving "get away" that includes me "mom", three grown daughters and a 7 year old grandson! Every year is different and I - and my daughters who are vrbo afficionados! - can not say enough good things about this place. I second the great reviews above. The house is spacious, two masters, great comfy beds including trundles in the middle bedroom. Plenty of bathrooms and well appointed kitchen. As it was November, we knew weather could be cold and rainy as well as beautiful. We experienced it all and loved every minute! Yes, pigs and cats were there and very entertaining. Hosts have thought of everything including beautiful decor plus were very accessible and helpful. We WILL be back!
My family of 4 and our friends family of 4 had a blast. Two private adult suites with nice baths, and a great kids room for the 4 kids to share made the weekend fun for all of us. This is not your classic “row house” with no privacy. It is on a large acreage lot with gate access, complete privacy, absolutely memorable views, a great fire pit and beautiful huge double deck dock. We swam, the kids dove from the upper deck for hours into very deep water. We all used the paddle boards and kayaks. We will bring our boat next time because there is a beautiful slip. We had everything we needed to cook and grill. The decor is awesome and the layout is open. We had good poker games at the poker table and sat out at the fire pit at night. We will definitely be back!
Our two families had a stellar time at this lake house! Two master bedrooms at opposite ends of the house (both with adjoining bathrooms), it afforded each of us privacy, and we both had covered patios right off each bedroom, to have coffee in the morning. The kids had their own bedroom and bathroom in the middle of the house, they thought the trundle beds were so much fun. The bedding was super comfy, and the air conditioner was powerful when we needed it! The views of the water were fantastic from the living room, kitchen, and the both master suites.
What is really unique about this property versus other lake houses we looked at in Granbury is how secluded it is. Most are crammed together, and I'm sure come with a lot of noise, lack of privacy, etc. This property is behind a gate on probably 10 acres, and it's only the owners house adjacent, but we didn't hear a peep from them, and once you are on the vacation house property, you can't even really see their house.
We cooked two full meals and a big breakfast during our stay - they had every pot/pan/bowl/utensil and serving dish we needed (and a dishwasher thankfully!). Having cooking oil available to use, along with salt and pepper was super handy. We didn't watch a ton of TV while we were there, but they had a SmartTV in the living room and good internet connection - my kids streamed some videos on their devices.
We spent the majority of our time sitting on the patio, and hanging out at the dock - tons of seating options, and several large tables to serve a meal at (which we did at sunset and was the bomb!) We built a fire at night, and were able to enjoy good drinks and great conversation. We spent almost a full day lounging on the double deck dock, kids and I took the kayaks and paddle board out. We weren't planning on getting in the water this time of year since it was colder, but ended up swimming anyway LOL. It was a lot of fun. The dock looks great at night too - they had lights on it, and also on the stairs that led you down to dock.
They had guitars, and poker table/chips which we didn't use, but I could see it making for a perfect guys getaway next time. I truly can't think of anything to critique! Will visit again for sure.
