A group of 6 family and friends travelled to St. Augustine for a long weekend and a concert at the Amp. The house is less than a 1/2 mile from the Amp and about a 5 minute drive to the touristy part of town. The house was clean and cozy and the hosts thought of everything that might be needed. It's on a main road with plenty of restaurants and if the beach is your thing, it less than 2 miles away. I contacted the host a few times and got an immediate response each time. Instructions for staying in the house are detailed and clear. A great experience!
The house is set about 20 feet off a major hwy. You hear every vehicle and feel the vibration from passing motorists. They should list that. The toilets in both bathrooms did not flush. All condiments and snacks were out of date. The closet door was broken and several window blinds. After booking this house, we stated that a service dog would be traveling with us. They waited for us to check out before charging the pet fee. Which should have been upfront. That's poor hosting and business etiquette. I do not recommend staying here.

Wow! Is this your way of getting out of the pet fee, because you didn’t pay it. First you never said you had a pet. Prior to checking in, my welcome message gives details like “reservation is for 2 guests and no pets” and “it’s easier leave if you reverse your vehicle in,” which I could see that you did. You clogged one of the toilets because they were both working before you arrived. And only 1 was working when you left. If you would have told me, I could have called a plumber. Instead, I had to find out when we were cleaning and it caused issues with check in times for the next guests. Thanks for that! Apologies, I didn’t have time to replace the blind from the last guests “service pet.” It works and functions as it should. Good Lord, If it wasn’t up to your standards, you could cover it with the curtains and you wouldn’t have to see it. If you pull too hard on one of the closets it comes off track and is easy to put back in. Lastly, We take great pride to make our home feel like a home. That’s why we leave condiments in a containers, as well as packets, and other treats around the house. If you would have told us you were bringing at pet we would have even left some doggie treats. So sorry if if the mustard was out of date. Grow up!
