Please note:
Our property is nestled in a beautiful mountainous area—perfect for relaxing and unplugging. Please note that the roads leading to the home may be gravel, uneven, and winding in places. While most vehicles can access the property, slower driving is advised, especially after rain or during winter months. For added comfort, we recommend a 4WD/AWD vehicle with good clearance.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
Wi-Fi is provided, but due to the remote setting, service can sometimes be slower or spotty. We suggest downloading any essential content in advance.
Thank you for understanding, and we hope you embrace the adventure—this peaceful, scenic setting is what makes your mountain escape so special!
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close we are to Bryce Resort (about a 15 minute drive away). The resort has tons of things to do – from skiing and snow tubing in the winter, to swimming, kayaking, and golfing in the summer. And of course, many great restaurants, bars, and shops as well. Plenty to keep everyone entertained!

Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm glad Redwood Lodge felt cozy and clean and that the cookware and hot tub met your needs — the view really is something special. I appreciate the note about my quick responses and would love to welcome you back.

We had a great time. The bed wasn't very comfortable for my husband he slept on the couch most nights we stayed. The bed wasn't soft but wasnt too hard for my likeness. It was a nice secluded getaway.

Thank you for staying at Redwood Lodge and for taking the time to leave a review. Glad you enjoyed the secluded getaway. Sorry the bed wasn’t comfortable for your husband — we’ll inspect the mattress and consider options to improve guest comfort. We’d love to welcome you back.
Nice cozy cabin! Everything was as advertised and the host was super-responsive.Kitchen was well-stocked and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. No complaints. We'd definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful time staying here! Came here for a weekend trip, and it was incredibly relaxing and just what we needed. Everything was just as it said it’d be, and the host was quick to respond with questions and frequently checked in on us. We would definitely come back again!
Very nice and relaxing. The hot tub was a nice touch, really enjoyed having that. Clean and quite. Fire pit was nice. Gets quite dark out there. Nice for looking at stars but also would be nice to have some string lighting or something out there. Host had good communication. Overall great stay.

We stayed at blue mapme cabins before, and have had a good experience so far. Unfortunately this one disappointed us, for 2 main reasons. The WiFi, which is specifically advertised in the title of the listing, was unusable most of the time, which made it difficult to impossible to work. And the cleanliness, since it's in the forest there are many insects, which is expected, the issue is that the front window has large gaps that can't be closed, causing the main room to be filled with large and small insects all the time. This was extremely frustrating. There were other small things, like the oven didn't open all the way, and the ACs needed the filters changed and smelled bad.The hot tub and location were nice, but we will not be staying here again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate you returning to stay with Blue Maple and giving us the opportunity to host you again.
I'm sorry to hear this stay did not meet the experience you've had with us in the past. I understand how frustrating it must have been to have issues with the Wi-Fi, especially since reliable connectivity is an important part of your stay. I also appreciate you bringing the concerns about the insects, window gaps, oven, and AC units to our attention. I've shared this feedback with our team so these items can be reviewed and addressed.
We’re glad you were able to enjoy the hot tub and the location, but I understand that these other issues impacted your overall experience. Thank you again for the detailed feedback—it’s helpful as we continue working to improve the homes and guest experience.
Best,
Tony
This cabin was exactly as advertised what I was looking for. It was quaint, quiet, and cozy. The property owners were great with communication throughout my stay. Location is extremely remote which was perfect for me. Not much cell reception but WiFi worked great. Would most certainly stay again.

Clean, Quite and Relaxing Activities including the Hot Tub and well stocked with needed items. Hoist, via text, made sure all was well and nothing needed.
Upon arrival the home was unlocked. The beds were not made and there were not enough pillow cases or sheets for the beds. The host was responsive however no additional sheets or pillow cases were provided. Location was pretty and a nice time to relax.
We had a long, relaxing getaway weekend. We enjoyed hikes, wineries, and breweries that were all very dog friendly. The cabin is just as described, quite remote but exactly what we were looking for. Great communication, check in process, house manual, and facilities in general. We have Verizon and did not have great service but didn’t hate the excuse to be unplugged.

Home needs some upgrades. Original carpet, half windows covering open area of window AC unit is being held up by tape and kept falling off with any gust of wind allowing insects to come into the house. Great secluded location
This place is out there. Four wheel drive recommended. The communication with the host is excellent as well. That said at night you'd never know there are other cabins. Very intimate Valentine's Day stay. Definitely stay here if peace and quiet is your thing, also it's got a hot tub!!!
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It had everything we needed for a NYE weekend getaway. We explored the area a bit, including swover creek brewery, cave ridge winery, and freeds biscuit company. There was also a decent hike nearby. We didn’t need to leave the cabin aside from that. We cooked our own dinners and hung out in the cozy cabin. I would definitely recommend this place for relaxing and unwinding in nature.
Living room furniture was very uncomfortable. Main bedroom too much furniture. Especially dresser leaving too little space to get to the far side of the bed. Steps to the fire pit area were unstable. We walked around to the road to be safe. Good amount of dishes and cooking equipment. Well stocked paper supplies and soaps/bathroom needs. Door key container was difficult to open. Host was quick to offer assistance and a video.
My dog and I had such a good time relaxing at this mountain retreat! The drive up was beautiful and the property manager was excellent at communicating and checking in. The house manual is very in depth and helpful. There are a few other cabins near by but often its hard to tell. Sitting on the deck or screened in porch with a coffee and a book was my favorite activity. There were a few restaurants and an ice cream place within 15 or so minutes as well as a community store with firewood and groceries. Good hiking is 30 miles away but worth it. There are some moths and spiders that hang out but remember that they live there and you are only visiting! They have more of a right to be there than us. Be kind to the critters. I really hope to stay here again!

The road to cabin is sketchy which we knew was a gravel road and you have to ride over a small creek. Then a steep incline past a mean rottweiller from house on the left. The cabin is small and quaint! Clean and smelled great! Fully equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and beds to sleep in. Only one TV with apps to watch shows or movies. Lots of deck space and nice spacious hot tub. The second night of stay hot tub was cold! We contacted Tony the property manager and no problem rest of stay! Great communication with property manager and house cleaner! We had a great time with family and friends in VA!

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Redwood Lodge in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
