This 1B/1B oceanfront cottage with a full kitchen sits in a gated community on St. Croix's north shore. Sit and watch the surfers, windsurfers, kite surfers, turtles, whales, kayakers, and pelicans cruise through the water from the cottage deck or walk the 25 yards down to the beach for an even closer look. You may even run into a 500 pound turtle making a nest. Walk/run/bike the 9 miles of private roads within the safe gated community. Great central location for exploring all that St. Croix has to offer. 4 miles to downtown Christiansted.

St. Croix is the largest of the US Virgin Islands, but it remains a well-kept secret in comparison to St. Thomas and St. John. St. Croix is much quieter and more laid-back. The island offers water sports in abundance, such as scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing, kayaking, surfing, and kite-surfing, with numerous beaches to explore. St. Croix has two small towns (Christiansted and Frederiksted) that have duty-free shopping and historic architecture. St. Croix offers something for everyone. Come relax on this wonderful island. No passports needed for US citizens.

St. Croix isn't just the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, but it also boasts the Caribbean's largest living reef. And it is the only spot in the region where you can dive a wall that drops more than 13,000 feet.

The cottage was great. Very clean, well stocked, very homey. The directions to the cottage from airport were perfect. Chad and Emily were nice and welcoming. They left info, on were to Eat ,shop, beaches .This was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend staying. We had a lovely time

We loved our stay here! The hosts made it clear they were available for anything we needed but maintained the perfect distance to maintain our privacy. The anniversary cookies were a great surprise and perfect touch. Highly recommended!

Great Stay in St. Croix

We had a great stay in St. Croix. The guest house was perfect for relaxing. Everything needed was available. Snorkeling gear, board games, beach gear.the kitchen was also well equipped. Everything was clean. The house is in a peaceful private neighborhood and close to everything. The owners were out of town, but were very easy to communicate with.

The best location for a wonderful vacation!

We LOVED every minute of our vacation in St. Croix! This little house was perfect because it allowed us the privacy and convenience of a home but while in a tropical paradise:) We packed as much as we could into each day, but our Favorite times were the lazy days on the beach right outside our door here or @ Cane Bay. This was the perfect way to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. The cottage owners were the perfect combination of helpful, hospitable and Friendly. They made our stay better because they made great suggestions for restaurants and daily adventures while making us feel right at home. We wish we could have stayed longer, Thanks so much for being so helpful, we feel we made new friends on the North Shore!!!

Private, relaxing stay

This is a lovely cottage and a friendly neighborhood. It is one of the most well-appointed properties we've ever stayed in, having everything we needed and more! While the proximity to the main house is very close, we still had all the privacy we wanted. The path to the beach was difficult to navigate, and there was a HUGE amount of seaweed which made our actual beach not viable for much other than looking at the water a bit, but you are so close to other beaches it is really not an issue. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning watching/listening to the waves. We had been waiting 18 months to make it to the property due to covid and repeated airline cancellations and it did not dissapoint! It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 20th anniversary!

Perfect Honeymoon Location!

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for our honeymoon, and we can not recommend it enough! We wanted to avoid the all inclusive resort vibe, and achieved just that with staying at this private, quiet, adorable cottage on the beach. We felt completely safe in the beautiful gated community of Judith's Fancy. The owners could not be nicer! Chad met us at the cottage to show us around, and Emily had left us gorgeous homemade cookies that we enjoyed with our coffee every morning. They also welcomed us with a bottle of champagne to kick off our honeymoon in style! Beach chairs, beach towels, an umbrella, snorkel gear, & a small cooler were provided, and used much during our stay. I would definitely recommend renting a jeep to explore the island. Some of our favorite things: snorkeling at Buck Island, Point Udall, Sandy Point beach, Mt. Pellier Domino Club ( they have "beer" drinking pigs..can't explain..just go see it!), Cruzan rum tour, Cane Bay Beach, Rainbow Beach, and just driving the coastlines & finding our own private beaches. We cooked breakfast & dinner at the cottage a lot, but a few favorite places to drink/eat: Off the Wall (right on the beach), Angry Nate's, Rum Runners (both in Christiansted on the boardwalk), La Reine Chicken Shack, Blues BBQ (super close to the cottage), and we had the most wonderful, romantic dinner at Savant in Christiansted. We were in St. Coix for 8 days, and enjoyed our stay thoroughly, thanks to staying at the cottage by the sea!

The property was just as advertised. We felt safe in the neighborhood and the property was super cozy! Love love the hermit crab sanctuary. They can control the sea grass just wish there was less of. Great communication with Chad.

This is a beautiful location right on the ocean and very central to activities on the island. Chad and Emily were there to greet us, offered us great suggestions as to how to enjoy the island, and even made us delicious cookies upon our arrival.The cottage is well-appointed and very clean. The space is very private and separate from the main house. We enjoyed golfing, snorkeling and hiking on the island, and we would certainly recommend this cottage to couples who just want to get away! Enjoy the ocean breeze and the beach!

Perfection at Judith’s Fancy

Very beautiful setting in a very safe area. Chad and Emily were very friendly and helpful in suggesting areas to see. It was a short stay but would definitely go back again. Location was central to everything. Bed was comfortable and cottage was extremely clean.

Amazing

I am extremely happy to have chosen this location for my trip to STX. The Owners Chad and Emily were excellent and extremely hospitable throughout my stay. The unit was very well decorated, clean, and was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was excellent for accessing all parts of the island and the neighborhood was gated and felt very safe. I would highly recommend this property for those looking for the perfect vacation rental on STX.

Great Escape!

Had a wonderful time visiting Chad and Emily’s cottage. It was stocked with everything we needed, clean, and safe location. Emily even had freshly baked cookies waiting for us upon arrival! Happy Cruxan Christmas

My stay in the cottage with my BFF was perfect for our impromptu trip to St. Croix. We didn't do much research or planning for this trip; however, the cottage had absolutely everything we needed plus some. It is equipped for any kind of vacation you are looking for and in the best location to explore the island. The hosts were lovely, as well, welcoming, great communicators, flexible, and resourceful. My favorite parts of the cottage were my morning walks around the picturesque neighborhood ending on the beach, listening to the ocean and the night sky. My friend enjoyed her morning coffees and yoga on the porch. We have no complaints. Thank you!!

Great hosts and super cute spot with everything you need!

I really loved this place! I was greeted personally by the hosts. They were super cool and also had some homemade cookies for me, which were so delish and great timing after a full day of travel. I was super impressed also by the fact that they genuinely thought of everything. I mean, from condiments to quality shampoo and hygienes (mine was confiscated at the airport), to bug spray, sun screen, aloe Vera, yoga mats, beach chairs and everything you would need at the beach, etc. It wasn’t like your standard Vrbo that’s usually completely empty with just the bare necessities. There was a sheet inside with all of the places to eat and see along with personal recommendations. Communication was great and I could text for anything I needed. All in all, phenomenal experience. I will be back!!!! 🌍👌

Chad and Emily moved to St. Croix in 2008. They proceeded to build their dream home on the beach in 2011, finishing in 2012. They decided to build a separate cottage to rent out to couples looking for something different, something more private than what is offered at hotels.

The location of this property is on the beach in the gated community of Judith's Fancy. The neighborhood has 9 miles of roads to walk and run all while looking out at the turquoise water. The property is situated mid-island, so you are a short drive to anything you want to explore in St. Croix. We are located approximately 4 miles west of Christiansted.

What makes this property unique

Beachfront. Gated subdivision with 24-hour security. 15-foot ceilings. Great neighborhood for walking and running and it backs up to national park land.
