Stargazing Retreat: Pickleball, Hot Tub & Fire Pit, near Cayuga Lake & Cornell

Deer Crossing Farmhouse is a destination within itself, where fun and memories are made in a stylish setting. Nestled in the countryside, it's a perfect homebase for all your Finger Lakes adventures, whether it's a girl's weekend, friends' reunion or vacation with the extended family! The house is located a short drive to Cayuga Lake, Cornell, Ithaca and many state parks with hiking and waterfalls, wineries and breweries! Centrally located, just 15 minutes to Ithaca & 10 minutes to Cortland.

FUN BACKYARD

***Pickleball: Coming soon! Concrete has been laid. We're waiting on warmer weather for the lines to be painted. We have a basketball hoop available and waiting for you to play! ***

The house sits on 2 acres! Our backyard has something for everyone in your group! Here you can unwind on our sectional sofa or in our hammock. If you brought your competitive spirit, head out to the open-air barn for some games (cornhole, darts, ring hook to name a few). Have a cold beverage at the bar in the barn...you'll see what we mean! Looking to unwind and have a relaxing evening...BBQ, make smores at the fire pit and relax in our hot tub under the twinkling stars or while watching the colorful sky as the sun sets!

KITCHEN

Our sun-drenched kitchen greets you upon entering the home. It includes everything you need to prepare meals, from morning beverages (Keurig, K-cup pods, coffee pot, tea bags and kettle) to evening supper. There is plenty of space to gather for a meal at the table plus additional island seating!

Off of the kitchen is a large mud room with washer and dryer. Laundry detergent & dryer sheets included.

LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM

Upon walking through the kitchen, you will arrive in the cozy living room. Hang out on the couch and watch a movie on the 65" smart television with a “guest access” enabled Roku for you to log into your own streaming accounts. Have flashbacks to your childhood while playing Nintendo with your favorite games from the 80's and 90's & a karaoke machine.

The dining room table faces the living room and is the perfect place to play cards or one of the many board games provided.

4 BEDROOMS plus BONUS AREA

Our four bedrooms feel like home, from luxury mattresses with cotton linens to artwork, patterned rugs and nightstands with lamps. Windows in each room let in natural light, while room darkening shades and sound machines help to ensure a restful sleep. You’ll also find toss pillows, throws, and mirrors in each room.

*Bedroom 1 - Queen bed (main floor - off of the living room)
*Bedroom 2 - Full bed (upstairs - top of the stairs)
*Bedroom 3 - 2 Twin beds (upstairs - across from bedroom 2)
*Bedroom 4 - King bed (upstairs - across from bathroom)
*Bonus Area - upstairs (queen sized sleeper sofa)

Our bedrooms comfortably sleep 8 and our queen sleeper sofa on the 2nd floor provides sleeping space for 2 more.

2 BATHROOMS

A bathroom is located on each floor. On the main floor, the recently updated bathroom contains a shower/tub combo and LED frameless mirror. The large upstairs bathroom contains a shower and a double vanity. To make your stay more comfortable, we provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Guests will have access to the entire home and outside area except the wood burning stove, locked closet in 4th bedroom, the garage, basement, shed and chicken coop.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in is after 4:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am.

PARKING
Behind the house the gravel driveway can comfortably fit 4 cars. More can fit down the driveway if needed, but you would be blocking each other in.

WOOD BURNING STOVE
The wood burning stove in our living room is not available for use – thank you in advance for your understanding.

QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours for the backyard are between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am. Thank you for keeping noise down during this time, as it ensures the peace of the neighborhood and our standing as courteous neighbors.

HEATING/COOLING
Ductless heating/cooling units in all bedrooms as well as the kitchen and dining room. All the mini splits in the house need to be on either COOL or HEAT, but not both. This will cause the units to stop working and have an error code. Additional heat is controlled via thermostats (4 zones in the home, 2 Nest)

OTHER NOTES
*For safety, we have installed Nest smoke/CO2 alarms.
*Garbage is picked up on Wednesday & the hot tub maintenance comes on Thursday mornings.
*The stairs are steep so use caution going up and down.
*The doorway in bedroom #2 is low so tall adults, please duck when entering.
*We are on well & septic so please be mindful of water usage.
