Texan Oasis

The property description is just as it appears in real life. The house is definitely well cared for and has high tech functionality mixed in with its wonderful decor. Everything you need is within a 20min drive and there is plenty of kitchen to load up for your stay. The heated pool was awesome at night and the bedroom/bathroom situation was perfect for 4 families.. Definitely worth it.

Fun Spring Break Trip

Very Responsive Owners, they will quickly help you if any issues arise. Our family enjoyed the movie screen outside, smores, shopping in Bastrop (I never knew Bastrop had that much traffic), games, heated pool, hot tub, fishing, and boating. With the pond being 5 foot low the fish were SO easy to catch too! There was enough room for 7 of us to sleep comfortably. During our stay we experienced weather in the 50's and mid 80s, their AC and Heat worked well, beds were comfortable. Appliances for cooking were great- there is a cube ice machine on the patio along with a fire place.

Our family loves this place. One family member even commented that it feels like home when we’re here together. This is the 3rd family vacation at this place and we love the host, they’re so accommodating and thoughtful. The property offers something for everyone and the beds are incredibly comfortable.

Hosted by Hershel and Becky Sandifer

Hershel is a commercial construction project manager who loves to work his land, restore classic cars, jukeboxes, and coke machines. He loves cooking catfish and craw fish for large groups! While Hershel was building the house, Becky went back to school and received her PhD and Executive Coaching certification. They both love spending time with their family and dogs.

Why they chose this property

Hershel used his construction experience to build their dream house. They began hosting events for their friends and family which led to the idea of sharing the house with others. Their son was married down by the pond in a beautiful outdoor wedding.

What makes this property unique

We chose this land because it was a country setting with plenty of privacy but in close proximity to Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and outlet mall shopping San Marcos.
