About this property
Open Air Cinema & Hot Tub | Restored Log Cabin
Summary:
Twice featured in 5280 Magazine, most recently in the July 2026 print edition. The Bird House is a restored 1970s genuine log cabin. 35 minutes from Denver, a world away from everything else.
Cozy up with cocoa and s'mores at the open-air cinema on the porch surrounded by Colorado forest. It plays in daylight, through rain, even snow. The trees are your backdrop, your favorite film is on the screen, and the hot tub is waiting.
Nightly rate includes Airbnb's service fee + cleaning fee combined.
The Space:
DISTANCE
Red Rocks Amphitheater: 26 mins
Hiking Trails: 5 mins
Grocery: 11 mins
Denver International Airport: 1 hr 7 mins
This is a real log cabin in Conifer, Colorado. Not a new build styled to feel rustic. Exposed log walls, vaulted pine ceilings, a hanging hammock swaying beside the gas fireplace stove. The kind of place where the city feels very far away, even though Denver is only 35 minutes behind you.
Two bedrooms carry original log walls. The master has a hand-crafted wood slice feature wall and a huge window that frames the forest like a painting. You wake up to pines and birdsong. No alarm needed.

HIGHLIGHTS & EXPERIENCE
COVERED CINEMA PORCH — ALL WEATHER, ALL DAY
Projector mounted overhead, pull-down screen, sectional with throw pillows, fire table center stage. Covered roof means sun, clouds, or Colorado afternoon rain, it doesn't matter. Three open sides mean the forest is always present. Guests have watched movies here in the outdoor movie theater at 10am and 11pm. Both are perfect.
THE A-FRAME HOT TUB
Iconic A-frame deck and sunken hot tub, with long views into the pines. This is what guests mention most. Morning coffee in the water. Wine at sunset. Stars appearing slowly overhead and you unwind.
THE HAMMOCK & FIREPLACE
A proper cabin hammock, hung from pine rafters, beside a glowing gas fireplace stove. This is where slow mornings happen. Where someone always ends up with a book. Where the trip actually starts to feel like a trip.
DESIGNED FOR
People who want the real thing. A fire going in a real mountain cabin with nowhere to be, a movie playing in the open air. This is a genuine Colorado cabin that happens to have an outdoor cinema that plays at 10am, midnight, and through a Colorado rainstorm.

What makes this property unique
The Bird House is real log cabin! Rustic yet modern with updates and cozy details.
Built in 1977 and owned by only one family before us it's got a new life now and is made for gathering together in the open living space with friends and loved ones.
With it's new decks, outdoor seating, and addition of the hot tub spa area, our inspiration was to recreate a private hot springs spa experience in a peaceful home-away-from-home retreat.
