This is our 2nd time staying in this house. We love the home! The only issue we had was the driveway...very snowy weekend, getting out on the top to the road was tricky. Communication with Debbie regarding it was awesome!
The location was just what we needed. Debbie was very responsive to any questions we had. There was plenty of room for all of our family. An overall great experience!
Very close to the village, very clean, tastefully decorated, nice amenities, great kitchen. Debbie, the host got back to us right away and was very responsive.
Good size, clean and comfy home for our family and pup. Four great bedrooms, fireplace, and a large dining room table for meals and games. Well-stocked kitchen.
From initial contact to saying goodbye our hostess provided everything we would need for a wonderful stay. Our niece got married at The Sinclair of Skaneatales-it was the ideal location.
The property was true to the pictures. The house was well stocked and the management company was great to work with. Location was central. Would definitely stay there again 5+++ rental.
We had several issues with the house they I have told to the manager.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of the property. We truly value guest feedback and rely on it to continually improve.
We do wish we had been given the opportunity to address the concerns you mentioned during your stay. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive your message until six days after your departure. Prior to your arrival, we sent you detailed instructions that included emergency and maintenance contact numbers. These are also clearly listed in the binder at the house, which encourages guests to reach out at any time so we can promptly resolve any issues and enhance your stay.
At check-in, you indicated that everything was in good order.
We understand that your group included senior guests, and we always strive to be accommodating. However, we want to clarify that the property is not advertised as offering main-floor living or being handicap-accessible. Features such as grab bars or shower seats are not included in our listing. Additionally, photos on the listing clearly show a step up from the side entrance and living room into the kitchen.
As mentioned in our earlier communication, we would have been more than happy to send our maintenance team during your stay to address concerns such as the bathroom door, providing a liquid measuring cup, replacing batteries for the sound bar, or placing reflectors at the end of the driveway for better visibility at night.
Lastly, the refrigerator is brand new and was installed in July. We're unclear about the comment regarding the fridge/freezer doors needing to be reversed, but we would have gladly looked into it had we been notified.
We appreciate your feedback and hope this helps clarify things.
The A/C in the house broke our second night on one of the hottest days with temps in the 90's. Debbie was able to move us to another rental while the A/C was fixed. We appreciated her quick response and it allowed us to get out grand children out of the heat,

Dear Carl, We do greatly apologize for the inconveniences suffered during the time you did not have any air conditioning. We did call an AC repairman and we did have the unit back up and running within about 4 hours. As a precautionary measure we did upgrade you and move you to another property. You stated that you preferred to stay in the upgraded property for as long as you could before going back to the original property. We were able to accommodate you for two full nights at the upgraded property even though the AC was fixed the same day that it broke down.
This was for a wedding and the groomsmen stayed! I spoke with Debbie on the phone briefly and let her know that after rehearsal dinner that the bride and some bridesmaids would be stopping in to hang out for a bit and she was very nice about it. Communication was immaculate. If I ever need a house in Skaneateles again I will 100% be looking at this house again!
Loved the house with all amenities! Everyone enjoyed their rooms. Loved the whole area with the rolling hills and scenic landscapes. Saw a few lighthouses!
Two items to check: extra water condensation in refrigerator drawer and upstairs bedroom needs a replacement bulb in lamp .
I must say I don't know who designed and decorated the renovation of this home, but it is perfection. The home was impeccably clean, stocked better than any VRBO I've stayed at, and the location was within 2 miles of town. I don't feel that it is walkable to downtown as there are no sidewalks, and it is on a busy road. The owners were extremely responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will book this property again next year.

This house was so adorable! There were 3 of us who stayed here for a girls weekend! The communication from the host was amazing from the time we booked until the time we checked out! We loved how the owner laid everything out with that is and is not included! The house is 5-10 minutes of a winery, shops, restaurants and so much more! The only complaints I had was the upstairs was kind a chilly but again, this is an old home and we wish there were cards games (Uno, Phase 10, etc), but this is our own fault as we forgot to bring our own! Everything was clean, up-to-date, and every well organized. I am hoping to make the girls trip a yearly thing and we would definitely choose this house again!
Members of my family live on opposite sides of New York State & Skaneateles is our favorite location for meeting up. Over the years we've had several special events there. The first one was to celebrate our father's 80th birthday. Our most recent get together was to celebrate the 80th birthday of one of my siblings!
I rented this property for my children, grandchildren & I to stay at. Others arranged to stay elsewhere. After the party, we used the house as a gathering place to visit since we see each other infrequently. It was ideal.
We loved the openness between the kitchen, dining area & living room. The kitchen was very well outfitted with high quality cookware & utensils. The abundant windows allowed for good ventilation. The beds were comfortable. The downstairs walk-in shower was awesome. And everything was clean.
In addition to its functionality, the house has unique features which give it lots of character. A couple of my siblings have renovated farmhouses, including one that was run as a bed & breakfast for many years. My daughter has an interior design background & she noticed things I missed -- both practical & decorative. Our whole family appreciates good craftsmanship & creativity & this house exemplifies both. We loved it.

Thank you for the wonderful, detailed review MaryBeth! We're so glad you enjoyed your property and were able to make great memories with your family. We would love to host you again if you plan to visit!
The property is appropriately furnished and everything was very clean and in working order. It is about one mile from town, on a busy country road. There is a fenced in backyard. Beds are comfortable -- memory foam, I think. The drawbacks of the property are that there are many awkward thresholds between rooms that cause you to trip or stub toes. This happened to all three able-bodied adults on our trip. It is a dark house. Additionally, there were no welcome amenities -- not even a few k-cups to get you through the first night. Most every other property I have rented typically leaves at minimum some coffee, but many leave a welcome basket with snacks, wine, toiletries etc. It was expensive, so I expected some additional touches. Owner does outline in an email a few weeks prior what you need to bring with you but at that point you have already booked and paid. Owner asked us to bring make up remover cloths so we didn't soil their white towels. Seems like a minor nuisance, but annoying nonetheless. For the cost, I would pass.

Thank you for your review. I would like to mention that your review is a bit confusing. You stated that the property was very clean, everything was in working order, it’s a mile from town, there is a fenced in backyard and the beds are comfortable and yet you rate us a disappointing three stars. We checked in with you multiple times during your stay and received no feedback at all except that everything was great. We certainly feel bad about the fact that you stubbed your toe. I would like to point out that it is a sunken in living/room dining room like many properties have. The stairs are self explanatory and the home has adequate lighting showcasing these stairs. You indicated that there was no welcome basket upon arrival. We do have 18 properties that we own and manage and we send you out an email thirty days prior to your arrival highlighting what we don’t provide which are minimal items. We highlight those items within your packing instructions which you did admit to reviewing prior to your arrival. While we don’t provide k-cups, what we DO provide are all sheets, linens, dish and laundry soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, napkins, tissues and hand soap dispensers for all bathrooms. Again, all of the packing instructions are sent out 30 days prior to your arrival and everything is carefully highlighted for the convenience of the guest. We do politely ask if there is another way that make up can be removed aside from utilizing our white towels because make up does tend to stain. As far as the price of the property is concerned, we haven’t raised the prices of our properties in years. Much of our competition charges more money for their properties for SU weekend and we have always kept our properties at the same rate and have never charged more. We take great pride in all of our properties and we would like future guests to know that your comfort and satisfaction are our number one priority. We have a full staff of house cleaners and a maintenance team that is accessible 7 days a week. While we can’t please everyone, we do our best to offer the very best properties for the very best price.
