On the fringe of East Hampton Village, this cedar shingled farmhouse style house was custom built in 2000 using 100/200 year old reclaimed exposed beams and wide plank wood floors. In a private setting, this house has very high height ceiling in the living room with large southern exposure windows. The deck overlooks the pool and hot tub with lockable glass railing to provide an unobstructed view while providing a safety barrier. The kitchen comes with breakfast area overlooking the yard and pool, as well as large granite counter and a formal dining room adjacent. The living room is equipped with an above fireplace mounted HDTV with a TiVo, a DVD jukebox with a 400 DVD library, a Verizon Cellular Network Extender, high speed wireless, a networked printer and Bose Surround Sound. Rental includes 6 top bikes and 2 kayaks

There are 2 master bedrooms each with HDTVs. The first floor master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, a walk-in closet, a second closet and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi plus a separate shower and a sky light. The second floor master bedroom has vaulted ceilings with a sky light, a walk-in closet, a second closet and bathroom with a 6 head shower an additional washer/drier and a sky light.

Three guest bedrooms with vaulted ceilings are on the second floor; one with queen bed and a second with queen/twin beds. The second floor guest bathroom is off the hall with linen closet.
The finished basement has a recreation room with sofa bed, 55' LCD TV, digital games, a Brunswick pool table and exercise equipment.

The entire property is fenced and sprayed monthly for ticks & fleas by East Hampton Flea & Tick Control. There is an outdoor shower on the second deck that has an entrance to the ground floor 1/2 bathroom. All decking is Timber Tek. Two gas grills are adjacent to the deck. There is a two car attached garage with 3 bikes. There is a security system monitored by Scan Security will all windows & doors in house sensor alarmed with 4 keypad control units located throughout the house.

Excellent East Hampton House for Family Vacation

The house exceeded our expectations. It comfortably fit our family. There is an abundance of cooking utensils and kitchen supplies. The appliances are high end. The rooms are nicely furnished and large. The house is light and airy and private as the yard and house is surrounded by beautiful greenery. The pool and backyard area is large and there is plenty of lounges and seating to accommodate a large group. We ate meals at the outdoor dining table which is very spacious. The house is immaculate which is very important to our family. The owner is very responsive. Vacationing in this house was an exceptional experience.

Outstanding

This is our 7th year hosting a family vacation in East Hampton. While we were sad about needing to stay at a new home due to our growing family after renting the same home for 6 years, this home was truly beyond our expectations. Centrally located, wonderful neighborhood, and close to most of our friends as well. We were able to be together with enough space to separate as well. Truly exceptional. Thank you for making our family annual trip heavenly.

Beautiful home and property

Lovely home, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautiful kitchen recently renovated. Home is very well stocked with every kitchen item, linen, and supplies. TV's in LR, both MBRs, and finished basement. Quiet street and neighborhood is good for walking. Property is fully fenced in back, great for our dog. Back yard is wonderful for eating on spacious deck, large swimming in pool, lounging and enjoying the gardens, which are very pretty and well kept. It's less than 10 minutes drive to village of East Hampton and closer to get to nearest market and a CVS. Dave was easy to communicate with, checks in, and very pleasant and accommodating.

Hampton happiness

We couldn't have asked for a better 2 weeks vacation. The property was great! We loved the location....close to the village, beaches and Sag Harbor. The house was beautiful and the pool a definite plus. The owner Dave was super nice ...very responsive and easy to work with. Thanks Dave...my family had a great time!

Wonderful Week

The house was just perfect for our visit. We had more than enough room for three couples. The arrangement with a master down and a master up was great. The house was extremely well outfitted for our stay, and well maintained. It is even prettier than the pictures. The owner was very helpful in information he provided and questions he answered. We enjoyed the bikes, cooked out twice, ate on the large deck, sat by the pool, went into the village several times. I would recommend this house for a family or group of friends. Although we had no children in our group, I think it would be excellent for a family with kids. There was a pool alarm, which would be great with kids.

This was one of our favorite family vacations!

This house was incredible in every way. We are a family of six with children ranging in ages from 10-22, and my mother joined us for this trip. This house offered something for everyone! My family was busy all day long in the beautiful pool and outdoor hot tub. The pool table, x-box and video library were enjoyed by my teenage children. Our nightly barbques on the beautiful back deck were amazing. We even enjoyed cooking in the gorgeous granite kitchen where everything we needed was at our fingertips. The photos show the true beauty of the home and each bedroom was lovely. The owner was so helpful and answered my many questions. We can't wait to rent this home again!

We live in NYC and love the Hamptons. Purchased the house in 2010 and only partially rent the house and use the house most of the summer. Other weekends we sail out of 3 mile harbor marine for overnights in surrounding islands and road bike on the lightly traveled back roads.

Why they chose this property

We selected this house because of the location on Village Fringe is actually closer to East Hampton Town Center than most Village homes and offers both privacy and value not-affordable in the Village. Beaches are within easy biking distance, can get into town in minutes for entertainment & shopping. We wanted our summer house to be unique - The 200 year farmhouse beams and wide plank floors with 20 foot ceiling, glass railing on the deck not obstructing view while offering safety for children. A well sound proofed basement with slate pool table, separate HDTV game center, separate living room allows children and young adults to have their own space. The living room entertainment system has an X-box, TiVo, 400 DVD juke box with 400 DVDs and several Video on Demand options provide good night time entertainment options. A new dressing room/makeup room was just constructed using antique furniture, Spanish Alabaster LED lighting and custom mirrors. The new 400,000 BTU pool heater with cover keeps the pool at a great temp. The hot-tub offers a good alternate on cooler days. Walk in closets provide great storage space.
